Reports directly to Oisin.\nResponsibilities and key results:\nOwn the full design process end-to-end - from understanding ambiguous problems to shipping solutions, without needing the problem framed in advance\n\nPartner directly with Oisin and a founding designer as well as wider team on product direction, roadmap priorities, and design philosophy - bring a point of view and defend it\n\nDrive consumer experience design: onboarding, social/viral loops, retention, growth surfaces.\n\nWork in a PLG/A/B testing environment - ship features, measure impact, iterate fast\n\nEventually help shape the broader design team alongside founding designer (~3 total planned)\n\nMust-haves:\nStrong product thinking - takes a vague brief and frames + solves the problem independently. Shows \"why\" before \"how\"\n\nConsumer product background - has designed for B2C audiences at scale\n\nOpinions and backbone - has a design philosophy, can defend it under pushback, willing to disagree with a founder\n\nChemistry and personality - interesting hobbies, curiosity, authenticity\n\nOwnership mindset - end-to-end, from problem definition to shipped solution\n\nComfortable with experimentation, A/B testing, data-led iteration\n\nEarly-stage or founding designer experience\n\nNice-to-have:\nExperience with social/viral product mechanics\n\nBackground at companies like Spotify, Strava, Notion, Monzo, or similar consumer PLG products\n\nSome craft/taste for visual design (not just process)\n\nHobbies: Enjoys the outdoors, sports, or some other physical activity.\n\nConditions:\nRemote in Europe (preference: Western/continental Europe)\n\nPortugal/Lisbon relocation sponsorship possible\n\nSalary: no fixed budget, flexible\n\nStock options: yes\n\nContract type: full-time employment, independent
