practices and coding standards established by the team\n\n- Implement and optimize AWS infrastructure with a focus on scalability, cost, security, and resilience across EKS, OpenShift, and serverless/compute services\n\n- Build and maintain automation pipelines across CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, testing, and operations\n\n- Participate in technical design reviews and contribute to architecture discussions\n\n- Mentor junior engineers and provide constructive code review feedback\n\n- Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions\n\n- Contribute to incident response, root-cause analysis, and long-term reliability improvements\n\n- Stay current on new tools and technologies and propose adoption where there is clear value\n\nRequired Qualifications :\n\n- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field\n\n- 5 - 7 years of software engineering experience with meaningful exposure to distributed systems\n\n- Strong proficiency in Go and Python, with working knowledge of Node.js in polyglot service environments\n\n- Hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services, including container orchestration on EKS\n\n- Experience running and operating workloads on Red Hat OpenShift as an enterprise Kubernetes platform\n\n- Experience implementing automation frameworks and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible)\n\n- Solid understanding of distributed systems fundamentals: consistency models, fault tolerance, service mesh, messaging systems (Kafka, SQS/SNS), and data partitioning\n\n- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and client-facing team settings\n\n- Strong written and verbal communication skills\n\nAI Knowledge & AI-Assisted Development (Required) :\n\n- Demonstrated use of AI-assisted development workflows (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, or similar) across the full development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, review, and documentation\n\n- Follows and applies team-level standards for responsible AI-assisted coding, including validation rigor, security scanning of AI-generated code, and avoiding data leakage in prompts\n\n- Working knowledge of AI/LLM integration patterns for backend systems: APIs, prompt design, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), embeddings, and agentic workflows (e.g., MCP)\n\n- Identifies opportunities where AI-driven automation can improve engineering velocity, code quality, or operational efficiency\n\n- Ensures AI tool usage aligns with data privacy and security requirements, particularly around PHI and other sensitive health plan data\n\nPreferred Qualifications :\n\n- Experience in the US health insurance or payer domain: claims, enrollment, benefits, provider networks, and HIPAA/compliance-aware system design\n\n- Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR, X12 EDI)\n\n- Prior experience in a client-facing consulting or
