OVERVIEW\nTo oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities across Liuwa Plains National Park, ensuring that facilities, buildings, grounds, equipment, water systems and electrical systems are maintained safely, efficiently and to the required operational and environmental standards.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nOversee all maintenance-related activities, including repairs, replacements and upkeep of equipment, facilities, buildings and grounds across all LPNP sites.\nDevelop, implement and enforce preventive and planned maintenance schedules.\nManage maintenance budgets and ensure expenditure is aligned with approved plans and requirements.\nSupervise maintenance workers, technical staff, groundsmen, contractors and other assigned personnel; support recruitment, induction, training and performance feedback.\nServe as a liaison between the maintenance team and other departments and communicate maintenance plans, priorities and improvement requirements.\nIdentify areas for improvement, troubleshoot minor technical issues and resolve maintenance problems as they arise.\nExecute and enforce company policies, procedures and standard operating procedures.\nRespond promptly to maintenance emergencies and coordinate appropriate corrective action.\nDevelop maintenance procedures and ensure their effective implementation.\nConduct regular inspections of facilities, buildings, equipment and grounds to identify defects and ensure timely corrective action.\nCheck electrical and water systems in buildings and facilities to ensure functionality and safe operation.\nPlan and oversee repair, replacement and installation activities.\nAllocate workloads and supervise staff, including custodians, janitors, groundsmen and other maintenance personnel.\nMaintain accurate attendance registers and ensure staff attendance records are properly maintained.\nMonitor equipment, tools and maintenance inventory and initiate orders when required.\nManage relationships with contractors, suppliers and service providers and monitor the quality and timely completion of contracted work.\nMaintain accurate maintenance logs and submit daily activity and progress reports.\nEnsure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements in all maintenance activities.\nManage the set-up and take-down of facilities and equipment for operational standards.\nImplement and maintain high environmental standards in all maintenance activities.\nImplement effective record-keeping systems and maintenance management plans.\nCreate and maintain daily, weekly and monthly inspection and maintenance check systems.\n KEY RELATIONSHIPS\nPark Manager\nField Operations Manager\nLaw Enforcement Team\nOther members of the Management Team (PMU)\nPark staff and other relevant departments\n CAPABILITIES, COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE\nAt least five (5) years of management or supervisory experience, preferably in a maintenance, facilities, engineering or related environment.\nProven experience in managing and maintaining water management systems.\nProven practical experience with AC and DC electrical systems.\nDemonstrated experience in facilities, equipment and general infrastructure maintenance.\nExperience in planning and implementing preventive maintenance programmes.\nExperience supervising staff, contractors and service providers.\nAbility to manage maintenance budgets, inventory and resources effectively.\nStrong problem-solving, planning, organisational and communication skills.\nAbility to maintain accurate maintenance records, logs and reports.\nKnowledge and practical understanding of occupational health, safety and environmental requirements.\nProject management experience will be an added
