defines the Go-vs-Java decision framework; builds platform scaffolding (base images, CI/CD templates, observability integration); defines the migration pattern and playbook; produces ADRs; provides technical direction and review for the Mid-level Engineer.Mid-level Software EngineerImplements pilot containerised workload(s) in Go or Java per the architecture pattern set by the Lead; ports ACE integration flow logic into the target implementation; writes unit and integration tests; contributes to CI/CD pipeline build-out; documents workload-specific migration steps.Key Deliverables\n#Deliverable DescriptionD1Platform reference architectureConfirmed container platform/compute model for the pilot, with supporting rationaleD2Go vs Java decision frameworkDocumented selection criteria, applied to the pilot workloadsD3Pilot workload(s) in production-ready stateSelected ACE workloads running as containerised services on AWSD4Platform scaffoldingBase images, CI/CD pipeline templates, config/secrets and observability integrationD5Migration playbookRepeatable pattern with worked pilot examples, for use across the ~300-app estateD6ADRs & handoverArchitecture decision records, runbooks and knowledge-transfer sessionRequired Skills & Experience\nLead Software / Platform Engineer\nStrong proficiency in Go and Java, with the judgement to choose between them per use case.\nHands-on experience with AWS container services - ECS, EKS and Fargate - including production operation.\nExperience with, or fast ability to learn, IBM ACE / IIB integration flow concepts, sufficient to reverse-engineer existing flows.\nCI/CD pipeline design (e.g. GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or equivalent) and Docker/container fundamentals.\nObservability/APM integration experience; familiarity with Dynatrace is advantageous.\nTrack record leading platform or application migrations at scale, ideally in a regulated/financial-services environment.\nMid-level Software Engineer\nSolid software engineering experience in Go or Java.\nWorking knowledge of Docker and container fundamentals.\nWillingness and ability to learn IBM ACE integration concepts on the job.\nExperience with unit and integration testing practices.\nExposure to AWS services; container-service experience advantageous but not required.\nEngagement Governance\nBoth roles report to the Architect / Platform Owner for the Integration & API Platform.\nWork is coordinated with the wider container modernisation initiative and the platform team's existing ECS/EKS evaluation.\nProgress reviewed on a regular cadence against the deliverables in Section 5.\nAll code, configuration, pipelines and documentation produced are delivered as the client's property on completion or termination of the engagement.\nAcceptance Criteria\nPilot workload(s) running successfully in the target platform, functionally equivalent to the original ACE flow(s).\nGo vs Java decision framework documented and demonstrably applied to the workload selection.\nMigration playbook reviewed and confirmed as usable by the platform team for subsequent workloads.\nDeliverables reviewed and formally accepted by the Architect / Platform Owner.","description_format":"text","description_chars":5949,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Professional Services","Human Resources","Recruiting Software & ATS"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-09-29T07:40:03Z"}],"liveness":{"score":63,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.632,"p_room":1,"age_days":3,"expected_fill_days":49,"reasons":["conf:40","stale_co","velocity","win:early","comp:brand"],"computed_at":"2026-10-01T05:45:00Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/simplify-hr-proprietary-limited-platform-engineer","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/simplify-hr-proprietary-limited-platform-engineer.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-01T11:43:23Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","usage":{"tier":"crawler","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":3460,"day_limit":5000,"remaining_today":1540,"minute_limit":60,"resets_at":"2026-10-02T00:00:00Z"}}}
