So, we need smart, talented, and humble people who share our values to join us as we disrupt the home security space and relentlessly pursue our mission of keeping Every Home Secure.\nWhat You'll Do: \nPrimary Responsibilities Include: \nSupport the design, testing, and documentation of security-focused products under the guidance of senior engineers. \nAssist with analyzing design alternatives and help surface tradeoffs in performance, cost, or schedule to your team. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, industrial design, sourcing, and product management on assigned tasks. \nHelp execute the product development process from prototyping through testing, following direction from senior engineers on requirements, cost, and schedule targets. \nBuild and run prototype tests, and help troubleshoot issues under supervision. \nParticipate in design reviews with suppliers and manufacturing partners, and help prepare materials for those reviews. \nEscalate resource or knowledge gaps to your lead or manager. \nAssist with documentation for the Technical Requirements Document. \nComplete well-defined engineering tasks and deliverables assigned by senior engineers or the engineering lead. \nSupport risk identification within your assigned scope of work. \nBuild foundational knowledge of emerging technologies, sensors, and manufacturing processes relevant to product design. \nBring energy and curiosity to your work and ask questions to grow quickly.\nWhat You'll Bring: \nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. \n1+ years of relevant industry experience (internships or co-ops count). \nCoursework or project experience related to low-power or battery-operated electronics is a plus. \nSome exposure to designing, building, or testing electronic systems. \nWillingness to learn from and work closely with product management to understand customer needs. \nStrong communication skills and eagerness to learn from more experienced engineers. \nBasic familiarity with embedded systems concepts such as UART, SPI, I2C, USB, or similar interfaces is a plus. \nExposure to RF technologies (Sub-GHz, WiFi, BLE) is a plus but not required. \nA demonstrated bias for action and a strong desire to grow into a systems engineering role. \nTravel: Willing to travel to our manufacturing partners in China 1-3 times per year.\nWhat Values You’ll Share\nCustomer Obsessed - Building deep empathy for our customers, putting them at the core of our work, and developing strong, long-term relationships with them.\nAim High - Always challenging ourselves and others to raise the bar.\nNo Ego - Maintaining a “no job too small” attitude, and an open, inclusive and humble style.\nOne Team - Taking a highly collaborative approach to achieving success.\nLift As We Climb - Investing in developing others and helping others around us succeed.\nLean & Nimble - Working with agility and efficiency to experiment in an often ambiguous environment.\nWhat We Offer\nA mission- and values-driven culture and a safe, inclusive environment where you can build, grow and thrive \nA comprehensive total rewards package that supports your wellness and provides security for SimpliSafers and their families (For more information on our total rewards please click here)\nFree SimpliSafe system and professional monitoring for your home. \nEmployee Resource Groups (ERGs) that bring people together, give opportunities to network, mentor and develop, and advocate for change.\nThe target annual base pay range for this role is $70,700 to $94,300.\nThis target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually.
