So, we need smart, talented, and humble people who share our values to join us as we disrupt the home security space and relentlessly pursue our mission of keeping Every Home Secure.\nWhat You'll Do: \nPrimary Responsibilities Include: \nContribute to the full lifecycle design of security-focused products, from concept through production. \nAnalyze cross-functional tradeoffs between design alternatives, including impact on performance, schedule, cost, risk, complexity, and scale, and raise them to senior engineers or leads. \nCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, firmware, industrial design, sourcing, and product management. \nSupport the product development process from early-stage concept, through prototyping, testing, and production, helping ensure products meet requirements, cost, and schedule targets. \nDevelop and execute prototype testing, including designing test strategies to validate product performance and help resolve issues. \nParticipate in design reviews and discussions with suppliers and global manufacturing partners to help optimize designs for mass production. \nFlag resource or knowledge gaps to leads and engage the right subject-matter experts when needed. \nSupport communication and design execution with global manufacturing partners. \nContribute to the Technical Requirements Document in collaboration with cross-functional teams.\nSupport product architecture and system-level design work, ensuring alignment with product requirements, performance goals, and cross-functional constraints. \nTranslate system requirements into detailed, actionable tasks and deliverables for your own scope of work. \nSupport risk identification and mitigation activities within your area of the program. \nStay current with emerging technologies, sensors, and manufacturing processes to inform product design. \nDrive your own workstreams forward with a reasonable sense of urgency.\nWhat You'll Bring: \nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. \n2+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally including some exposure to consumer products. \nFamiliarity with optimizing designs for battery operation with low power usage. \nExperience contributing to the design and development of complex systems, from concept toward mass production. \nExposure to design validation planning, including test coverage across electrical, RF, connectivity, audio, or imaging subsystems. \nAbility to work effectively both as a systems-level contributor and as a hands-on technical contributor. \nExperience in embedded systems design, including design with UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet, SDIO, MIPI, etc. \nFamiliarity with RF technologies including Sub-GHz, WiFi, and BLE. \nStrong preference for candidates with a demonstrated bias for action. \nTravel: Willing to travel to our manufacturing partners in China 1-3 times per year\nWhat Values You’ll Share\nCustomer Obsessed - Building deep empathy for our customers, putting them at the core of our work, and developing strong, long-term relationships with them.\nAim High - Always challenging ourselves and others to raise the bar.\nNo Ego - Maintaining a “no job too small” attitude, and an open, inclusive and humble style.\nOne Team - Taking a highly collaborative approach to achieving success.\nLift As We Climb - Investing in developing others and helping others around us succeed.\nLean & Nimble - Working with agility and efficiency to experiment in an often ambiguous environment.\nWhat We Offer\nA mission- and values-driven culture and a safe, inclusive environment where you can build, grow and thrive \nA comprehensive total rewards package that supports your wellness and provides security for SimpliSafers and their families (For more information on our total rewards please click here)\nFree SimpliSafe system and professional monitoring for your home. \nEmployee Resource Groups (ERGs) that bring people together, give opportunities to network, mentor and develop, and advocate for change.\nThe target annual base pay range for this role is $84,900 to $113,200.\nThis target annual base pay range represents our good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this role. We use a market-based compensation approach to set our target annual base pay ranges and make adjustments annually.
