Unlike our core site design team, the Retention Designer focuses exclusively on the post-purchase customer journey and lifecycle marketing. include:\nIdeate and design high-performing email campaigns and automated flows (welcome series, abandoned cart, etc.) that align with client brand identity\nApply deep knowledge of email best practices, including mobile-first design, clear visual hierarchy, and CTA optimization to drive clicks\nEnsure all designs are optimized for dark mode, accessibility, and deliverability-safe coding \nWork within and contribute to design systems and component libraries in Figma to ensure consistency across multiple brands\nPartner closely with copywriters and Klaviyo implementers to move projects from concept to deployment seamlessly \nPresent design solutions to clients, utilizing data-driven insights to back up your creative choices\nRequired Competencies\n3+ years in graphic design with at least 2+ years specifically focused on designing marketing emails for e-commerce/DTC brands \nStrong portfolio showcasing conversion-focused email and lifecycle work\nExperience with Klaviyo or similar ESP (Email Service Provider) platforms\nProficiency with Cloud-based Design tools like Figma\nAdvance understanding of email design best practices\nExperience with Shopify/Shopify Plus\nAbility to manage multiple brands and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines\nStrong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally\nPreferred Competencies\nExperience working in an agency or multi-client environment\nBasic understanding of HTML/CSS for email design constraints\nExposure to A/B testing and performance-driven
