This position is responsible for managing, analyzing, and controlling plant production costs while providing accurate financial insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.\nThe ideal candidate brings strong cost accounting experience, a hands-on understanding of manufacturing environments, and the ability to partner closely with operations, finance, and plant leadership to drive visibility, accountability, and continuous improvement.\nKey Responsibilities\nManage and analyze plant production costs, including standard costs, actual costs, cost variances, yields, losses, and manufacturing performance trends.\nLead cost accounting activities related to inventory valuation, cost of goods sold, and accounting reconciliations.\nCoordinate and support physical inventory counts, inventory reconciliations, and raw material controls.\nPartner with operations teams to evaluate production yields, waste, formulas, recipes, material balances, and line productivity.\nLead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities for the facility.\nPrepare financial reports, KPIs, and actionable insights for plant leadership.\nSupport compliance with applicable accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve cost visibility, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.\nTypical Education\nBachelor’s degree in Public Accounting, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.\nAdvanced coursework, specialization, or a diploma in industrial costs, cost accounting, or manufacturing finance is preferred.\nAdvanced English proficiency is required based on business needs.\n\nRelevant Experience\n3 to 5 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally within food manufacturing or another manufacturing environment.\nStrong knowledge of standard costing, inventory management, inventory valuation, and cost of goods sold.\nExperience supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial KPIs, and budget variance analysis.\nFamiliarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or a similar platform is preferred.\nKnowledge of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards is preferred for Mexico-based roles.\nStrong analytical, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nRequired Certifications\nCPA or similar professional membership\nOther Information\nSound experience in management and cost accounting in manufacturing essential\nAttention to detail\nProblem solving ability\nDemonstrated understanding of financial information systems\nDemonstrated supervisory experience\nProject management experience\nJob Requisition ID: 26762\nTravel Required: Up to 25%\nLocation(s): GF Plant -
