In this role, you'll operate dump trucks, forklifts, and other plant equipment to transport production materials and byproducts throughout the facility.\nIf you enjoy hands-on work, operating equipment, working independently, and being an important part of a production team, this could be a great fit for you.\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Plant Truck Driver, you'll play a critical role in supporting plant operations by:\nOperating dump trucks, forklifts, and other company equipment safely and efficiently\nTransporting rock, plant waste, vegetable debris, and other production byproducts throughout the facility\nHauling and dumping frozen totes using forklift equipment\nCompleting required pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections\nMonitoring equipment performance and reporting maintenance needs\nAssisting with routine troubleshooting and minor repairs when needed\nSupporting various plant operations and helping where needed during the shift\nKeeping work areas and equipment clean and well-maintained\nAccurately completing required documentation and shift reports\nFollowing all company safety policies and DOT/FMCSA regulations\nWorking closely with team members to ensure smooth operations\nHelping train and mentor other team members as opportunities arise\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\nValid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL A)\nValid Medical Examiner's Certificate\nMust beat least 21 years of age due to travel requirements\nHigh school diploma or GED \nMinimum six months of commercial driving experience \nBasic computer skills \nAbility to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment \nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience operating forklifts and dump trucks\nKnowledge of DOT and FMCSA regulations \nExperience in manufacturing, food processing, agriculture, transportation, or production environments \nMechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues \nForklift certification (or willingness to obtain)\nWhy You'll Be Successful\nYou'll thrive in this position if you:\nEnjoy working independently while being part of a team\nTake pride in operating equipment safely and efficiently \nAre comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions \nHave strong attention to detail and situational awareness \nCan adapt to changing priorities and support different operational needs \nValue reliability, teamwork, and a strong safety culture \nPhysical Requirements\nThis position requires:\nFrequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing \nEntering and exiting trucks and equipment throughout the shift \nConnecting and disconnecting trailers and related equipment \nLifting and moving up to 50 pounds \nWorking safely around moving machinery and equipment \nMaintaining visual awareness of surroundings, equipment, and traffic conditions \nWork Environment\nThis is an active, hands-on role in a manufacturing environment. Team members regularly work around heavy equipment, moving machinery, and outdoor conditions throughout all seasons.
