The Simplot Company is a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.\nSummary\nThis position is responsible for operating equipment in the main formed processing line and performing upstream grading functions to meet operational goals and customer specifications.\nKey Responsibilities\nEnsures system control points within each unit operation are monitored and adjusted appropriately to meet operational goals and customer specifications.\nCoordinates the line flow through processing functions including, but not limited to: peeler, blanching, ingredient addition, drying, frying, freezing, budget pounds, recovery, oil usage, retail percent, and energy conservation. \nEnsure that other process data is monitored and recorded in Manufacturing Management Suite [MMS]. \nEnsures operational procedures are efficiently and safely followed. \nEnsures necessary level of communication is maintained with team members and support groups regarding line conditions. \nUses process control to maintain uniformity, color, texture, solids, product temperatures, defect loading, weights, and freezing. \nEnsures the correct and accurate completion of all written paperwork required of the position. \nEnsures information entered in Manufacturing Management Suite [MMS] is correct. \nKeeps work areas clean and completes all sanitation tasks assigned, including during shut-down clean-ups and start-up sanitation. \nReports food safety and safety hazards to proper personnel and follows up to ensure corrections. \nEnsures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies. \nEnsure self-compliance with Company policies and procedures. \nEnsures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge. \nConduct oneself in a professional manner and ensure personal appearance meets the standards necessary to perform the job functions while representing the Company.\nEnsure the interface with team members and other support groups is conducted in a participative management style conducive with operational goals. \nEnsure that additional accountabilities, as may be required by management, be handled in a manner necessary to meet operational and divisional standards. \nTypical Education\nHigh School Diploma or GED\nQualifications\nMust demonstrate the ability to read, understand, and communicate in a manner to successfully perform the job duties, such as reading and understanding operations manuals and have the ability to communicate with other employees, coordinate work responsibilities and use good judgment in decisions. \nMust be able to work with analytical testing equipment, such as pH meters, scales, Agtron, graduated cylinders, etc. \nMust have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication division and percents) to make proper adjustments and calibrations as required. \nMust be able to climb stairs, scaffolds and catwalks on a regular basis and in a safe and efficient manner. \nMust be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. \nMust have manual dexterity in both hands. \nMust be able to correctly identify different colours. \nMust be able to work in extreme environments, wet, cold, hot, dry, and steamy. \nMust be able to work with hazardous chemicals. \nMust demonstrate basic computer skills. \nMust be able to work in stressful conditions and be physically able to perform job duties. \nMust be able to dismantle equipment and put it back together for cleaning. \nMust be able to work independently with minimal supervision. \nMust have an acceptable safety record. \nMust have an acceptable attendance record. \nJob Requisition ID: 26990\nTravel Required:\nLocation(s): GF Plant -
