Simplot has major operations in nine countries with products and services available to customers worldwide.\nSummary\nThe Senior SAP Functional Analyst - FICO / Record-to-Report will serve as a functional expert for SAP Finance capabilities in the global S/4HANA landscape. This role guides solution direction, supports complex design decisions, participates in roadmap priorities, and provides functional guidance across delivery, stabilization, production support, and continuous improvement. The Senior Analyst is expected to understand end-to-end finance processes and the integration points that connect Record-to-Report with adjacent business capabilities. The Functional Analyst are directly responsible for the systems or modules that are in their area and must have the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical audiences. Successful candidates will have deep SAP Finance expertise, practical leadership, strong judgment, clear communication, coaching mindset, and ability to drive alignment across complex dependencies.\nThis role reports onsite to Simplot HQ (Boise, ID).\nKey Responsibilities\nGuide and participate in solution design, configuration strategy, testing, deployment readiness, stabilization, and continuous improvement for assigned area.\nDrive cross-functional alignment with Source-to-Pay, Quote-to-Cash, Make-to-Deploy, Forecast-to-Schedule, reporting/analytics, tax, treasury, and relevant non-SAP platforms.\nPartner with IT Product Managers and Business Portfolio Owners to shape roadmaps, prioritize backlogs, define outcomes, identify dependencies, evaluate risks, and support business value realization. \nProvide production support from escalations, including critical incident triage, root cause analysis, problem management, escalation facilitation, defect resolution, enhancement assessment, and knowledge management. \nCollaborate with architecture, development, integration, QA, data, security, reporting, AMS, and vendor teams to ensure complete, scalable, secure, and supportable solutions. \nCommunicate complex solution options, risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations in a concise and business-readable manner for leadership, product teams, and stakeholders. Utilize agile methodologies for continuous delivery of solutions. Rapid deployment and validation of solutions components is a must.\nTypical Education\nBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university\nRequired Qualifications\n7+ Years of experience as an SAP Functional Analyst or comparable role supporting SAP FICO / Finance capabilities.\nStrong hands-on experience of the new Fiori tools and S/4HANA environments (1809,1909,2020).\nDeep understanding of finance processes such as general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset accounting, controlling, profit center accounting, cost center accounting, financial close, or related Record-to-Report capabilities. \nGood understanding of various integration patterns between SAP products and non-SAP Products and when to utilize these patterns when enabling a business process is preferred.\nGood understanding of the development lifecycle utilization of SAP Solution Manager and how it will be utilized in a Dev/Ops environment is preferred.\nExperience working in agile, product delivery, DevOps, or hybrid delivery models using structured backlog, sprint, release, and governance practices. \nStrong communication skills with the ability to translate technical and functional complexity into clear business language. \nUnderstanding of Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban is preferred.\nUnderstanding of SAP S4 HANA Universal Journal (ACDOCA), New General Ledger, Ledgers and Extension Ledgers, Parallel Accounting (US GAAP, IFRS, Local GAAP), Profit Center Accounting, Segment Reporting, Real-time integration between FI and CO, Group Reporting and Financial Consolidation\nDeep SAP Finance expertise, practical leadership, strong judgment, clear communication, coaching mindset, and ability to drive alignment across complex dependencies.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExtra Consideration will be given to those candidates with experience in Treasury, Tax, OpenText VIM, Central Finance.\nAbility to write functional specs and design custom objects for business specific requirements and work with development teams.\nOverall working knowledge of various ecosystems that connect with SAP S4 HANA business Suite\nKnowledge of SAP Accounts Payable processes including vendor invoice management, payment processing, withholding tax, duplicate invoice prevention, exception handling, and integration with OpenText VIM. (Nice to have but not mandatory)\nUnderstanding of Treasury and Cash Management processes including bank account management, electronic bank statement processing, cash positioning, liquidity planning, payment approvals, and interfaces with banking platforms. (Nice to have but not mandatory)\nKnowledge of SAP Tax configuration and processes including indirect tax (VAT/GST), withholding tax, sales and use tax determination, tax reporting requirements, and integration with third-party tax engines. (Nice to have but not mandatory)\nUnderstanding of finance controls and compliance requirements associated with vendor payments, tax reporting, bank reconciliations, segregation of duties, and audit support. (Nice to have but not mandatory)\nUnderstanding of end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes and key finance integration points between Materials Management (MM), Accounts Payable, OpenText VIM, Treasury, Tax, and General Ledger accounting.
