Responsibilities:

  • Write high-performance and sustainable back-end applications using the Python programming language and the Django framework.
  • Work closely with front-end engineers and product managers to understand the requirements.
  • Implement new features and proactively optimize the existing code.
  • Integrations with third-party systems like payment gateways and channel managers.
  • Fix bugs and solve problems.
  • Mentoring junior backend engineers.

Requirements:

  • Deep and demonstrable experience in building web applications on Python (Django) and MySQL.
  • Experience with creating RESTful JSON APIs.
  • Expert in problem-solving skills, algorithms, and data structures.
  • Ability to understand complex systems on MVC architecture.
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu and experience in Git (or any subversion system).
  • Good understanding of web technologies and good command of back-end debugging.
  • Self-motivated and organized, able to handle deadlines and drive improvements.
  • Expert in Linux commands and AWS basics.
