You will join as a Database Engineer to ensure the performance, reliability, and security of databases across cloud environments. You will manage daily operations, optimize database performance, respond to incidents, and support releases to maintain smooth and secure database services.\n\nKey Tasks you will be involved in\nDatabase Administration & Operations\nAdminister, configure, and maintain databases across platforms (DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake).\nSupport OLTP and OLAP workloads; ensure availability, stability, and optimal performance.\nConduct routine health checks, monitoring, and proactive issue detection.\nPerformance Tuning & Optimisation\nTune queries, optimize indexing, and analyze execution plans across database engines.\nOptimize high-volume transactional and large-scale analytical workloads.\nConduct capacity planning and resolve performance bottlenecks across database, query, and infrastructure layers.\nBackup, Recovery & High Availability\nImplement and manage backup/recovery strategies, HA solutions, and DR setups.\nPerform regular backup validation, restoration testing, and support DR exercises to meet RTO/RPO targets.\nIncident Management & Troubleshooting\nInvestigate and resolve performance degradation, data inconsistencies, replication failures, and query inefficiencies.\nParticipate in major incident response and root cause analysis (RCA), implementing preventive measures.\nCloud & Data Platform (AWS & Snowflake)\nManage cloud-based database workloads (AWS RDS, EC2, Snowflake).\nImplement best practices for security, scalability, and cost optimization.\nSupport data integration pipelines and collaborate on cloud architecture and deployments.\nMonitoring, Automation & Tooling\nMaintain monitoring, alerting, and logging using CloudWatch, Grafana, Splunk.\nDevelop automation scripts for maintenance, monitoring, housekeeping, and optimization tasks.\nSecurity, Compliance & Governance\nEnforce access controls, encryption, audit logging, and regulatory compliance.\nSupport audits and provide documentation/evidence as needed.\nRelease & Deployment Support\nSupport database changes and application releases, including schema updates, data migrations, version control, and rollback planning.\nValidate post-deployment changes and coordinate with application/infrastructure teams.\nDocumentation & Continuous Improvement\nMaintain database documentation, SOPs, runbooks, incident reports, and RCA.\nDrive improvements in performance, automation, and operational efficiency.\nOperational Support\nParticipate in after-hours support for maintenance windows, deployments, and critical incident response.\nHow to Apply\nSend us your resume with a short note telling us what excites you most about this opportunity to .\n\nThis role might be for you if you have:\nStrong training in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.\nMinimum 3 years’ hands-on experience as a Database Administrator/Engineer across multiple platforms (DB2, PostgreSQL, MySQL).\nExperience supporting production or mission-critical systems, AWS database services (RDS, EC2), and Snowflake or similar data warehouse platforms.\nStrong SQL scripting skills, stored procedures, and query optimization across different databases.\nSolid understanding of database architecture (OLTP vs OLAP), indexing, execution plans, performance tuning, replication, and synchronization.\nFamiliarity with monitoring/logging tools (Grafana, Splunk) is an advantage.\nStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and data accuracy skills;
