This position is intended for individuals who are eager to learn woodworking and manufacturing skills and progress into a fully qualified Pre-Hang Technician role.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nOperate various hand and power tools, including saws, drills, nail guns, routers, and other woodworking equipment. \nRead and interpret technical drawings, door unit specifications, and hardware installation drawings. \nAssemble a variety of door units, including: Single door units \nDouble door units \nArch door units \nDoor units with transoms and sidelites \n\nInstall door hardware, including hinges, multipoint locks, weatherstripping, and other related components. \nMeasure, mark, and verify dimensions using tape measures, calipers, and other measuring devices. \nCut and prepare wood, aluminum, and steel components to required specifications. \nSafely lift, move, and position doors and assembled units, often with assistance from team members or material-handling equipment. \nPackage, crate, and prepare completed door units for shipment, including building custom shipping crates when required. \nPerform quality inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure products meet company and customer standards. \nUtilize company software and technology tools, including CompanyCam and Masterpoint, for documentation, communication, and production tracking. \nMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. \nFollow all company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards. \nPerform other related duties as assigned. \nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. \nPrevious experience in woodworking, manufacturing, carpentry, door assembly, or a related field preferred. \nBasic knowledge of door construction, assembly techniques, and hardware installation is beneficial. \nAbility to read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders. \nAbility to accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures and vernier calipers. \nExperience using hand and power tools safely and effectively. \nBasic computer skills and willingness to learn company software systems. \nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision. \nStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. \nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday. \nAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy and awkward door components, frequently with team assistance. \nAbility to safely operate tools and equipment in a manufacturing environment. \nAbility to work in varying temperatures and production conditions. \nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong mechanical aptitude. \nProblem-solving and troubleshooting skills. \nAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. \nStrong communication and teamwork skills. \nCommitment to workplace safety and quality standards. \nAbility to learn new products, processes, and technologies. \nWage and Benefits\nHourly Wage = $23.78\n100% company paid Health, Dental, and Vision for you AND your eligible dependents.\n401(k) with 4% Company Match (CORE), and an additional 100% match up to the first 4% of an employee’s own 401(k) contributions. \n9 Paid Holidays\nPaid Bereavement Leave\nPaid Jury Duty Leave\nPaid Life Insurance\nEmployee Assistance Program\nWellness Reimbursement Program\nSafety Equipment Reimbursement\nShort-term disability\nThis is a safety sensitive position and requires a drug screen that includes testing for THC.\nWork Environment\nThis position works in a manufacturing and production environment where exposure to wood dust, noise, machinery, and varying temperatures is common.
