YOU

As Machine Operator, you will have the ability to perform required tasks to keep equipment running. Perform minor set ups and troubleshoot equipment issues. This position reports directly to the Department Manager and is supported by the department’s Team Lead(s). This position works Monday through Thursday 3:00pm - 1:30am with overtime as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Using blueprints to do visual product inspections to verify conformance to print specifications and tracking conformance using the Screw MFG Inspection sheet and SPC program. (40%)

Changing tools and adjusting machine back to proper specification. (30%)

Performing housekeeping/daily machine maintenance and troubleshooting manufacturing issues. (20%)

Driving a forklift to retrieve raw material or deliver finished products to outbound staging area. (10%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Experience reading blueprints
  • Forklift experience
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Mechanical ability & safety. Able to consistently prioritize safety by demonstration of safe work practices and promoting a safe work environment
  • Accountability & Dependability. Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, hourly position is in Gallatin, TN.

PAY

$25.00 - $29.09/ hour - plus $1.00 shift differential

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting, and bending in a repetitive motion. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The job may risk exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
