This role supports plant infrastructure such as air compressors, stamping presses, production support equipment, etc.\nThe position is 2nd shift hours; Monday - Thursday (4:00PM - 2:30AM).\nWHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)\nRepair, install, troubleshoot, start-up, and provide technical maintenance on all existing and new plant/facility equipment. Integrate existing and new equipment, as needed. Identify, maintain, and troubleshoot machines and equipment. Communicate technical issues to maintenance, facilities and operations management. (60%)\nPerform maintenance needs of the plant as needed (25%)\nManage the day-to-day activities of work orders (WOs) and preventative maintenance (PMs) to technicians (10%)\nTraining and mentoring technicians. Educate fellow peers on any additional skills to improve the department and best practice sharing. (5%)\nDESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE\nIf you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too:\nAssociate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.\n3 years’ related maintenance technician experience and/or training.\nMechanical Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment and read/interpret mechanical drawings.\nElectrical Skills: Able to size electrical circuits (wire, disconnects, conduit, etc.) and perform new installations. Able to read and interpret electrical schematics.\nAccountability/Dependability: Ability to show up to work on time, and follows instructions, policies, and procedures. Ability to meet productivity standards, deadlines, and work schedules.\nMath: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.\nLanguage: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nReasoning: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
