The Manager will also play a key role in ensuring best practices are embedded across the firm and that pricing data and insights are captured, maintained, and leveraged effectively.\nThis is a collaborative, hands-on role for a commercially minded professional who can balance analytical rigor with strong communication, process management, and leadership skills.\nEssential Job Duties & Responsibilities\nPricing & Partner Support\nCollaborate with partners to develop and evaluate fee proposals, budgets, and alternative fee arrangements (AFAs).\n\nProvide financial modeling and analysis to support client negotiations and business development opportunities.\n\nAssist partners in preparing and securing approvals from the firm’s Finance Committee by supplying data-driven insights and business cases.\n\nEducate and advise partners on pricing trends, client expectations, and firm guidelines.\n\nPricing Performance & Strategic Insights\nBuild and monitor matter budgets, providing updates and insights to partners and leadership.\n\nTrack performance against pricing assumptions, identifying risks, leakage, and optimization opportunities.\n\nProvide actionable insights on pricing outcomes and client behavior to refine strategy and improve commercial results.\n\nTeam & Process Management\nManage and develop a team responsible for supporting pricing processes and partner requests.\n\nEnsure team members deliver accurate, timely and high-quality support to partners and practice groups.\n\nEstablish and maintain efficient workflows, ensuring consistency and scalability of pricing support across the firm.\n\nPricing Tools & Database Oversight\nOversee the maintenance and accuracy of the firm’s pricing databases, tools, and templates.\n\nEnsure pricing data is captured consistently, enabling robust analysis and reporting.\n\nPartner with IT and other finance teams to enhance tools and processes that improve efficiency and client service.\n\nBest Practices & Process Improvement\nSupport the creation and roll-out of pricing playbooks, guidelines, and templates.\n\nDrive adoption of consistent approaches to scoping, budgeting, and fee negotiations.\n\nContribute to firm-wide initiatives that improve value delivery, efficiency, and financial outcomes.\n\nClient Engagement Support\nPlay an active role in RFPs, client negotiations, and fee discussions.\n\nProvide strategic support in creating and presenting value-driven, competitive proposals.\n\nEducation\nRequired\nBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field.\n\nPreferred\nM.B.A., J.D. or other advanced degree preferred\n\nSkills & Experience\n5-7 years of experience in pricing, financial analysis, or related roles within professional services (law firm experience strongly preferred).\n\nProficiency in MS Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.\n\nDemonstrated experience managing people or teams, with a focus on developing talent and building collaborative, high-performing groups.\n\nStrong financial modeling and analytical skills with the ability to utilize tools to compile and analyze data and recommend and/or implement solutions to complex problems.\n\nSignificant working understanding of alternative fee arrangements and pricing of legal/professional services.\n\nDemonstrated ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\n\nSelf-assured self-starter capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.\n\nExperience working with all levels of personnel within law firms and clients.\n\nExcellent written, verbal, presentation skills.\n\nDemonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and effective negotiation skills.\n\nProven ability to adapt to change and balance competing demands and priorities.\n\nOrganized, proactive, and commercially minded with strong attention to detail.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in developing and maintaining pricing tools and databases.\n\nSalary Information\nNY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $190,000 at the time of posting.\nThe actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
