You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, realistic training infrastructures that emulate enterprise environments across multiple cloud platforms. Working alongside security researchers and training specialists, you'll create the technical foundation that enables high-fidelity security simulations and exercises. As a Senior Cyber Range Engineer, you will ensure our ranges provide authentic cloud experiences while maintaining isolation, monitoring capabilities, and resource efficiency.\nWhat will you be doing as a Senior Cyber Range Engineer?\nDesign, implement and maintain local and cloud-based cyber range architectures that support multiple concurrent training scenarios and user sessions\n\nDevelop automation frameworks for rapid deployment, teardown, and reset of range environments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles\n\nCreate emulated cloud services and resources when direct cloud integration isn't feasible or cost-effective\n\nMaintain security controls and network isolation to prevent range escape or resource abuse\n\nCollaborate with content developers to translate training requirements into technical specifications\n\nBe an expert on SimSpace software providing guidance and documentation for many different use cases\n\nDevelop and maintain documentation for range architectures, deployment procedures, and troubleshooting guides\n\nDeliver customized knowledge transfer sessions to customer and partner personnel, including platform training curriculum\n\nOccasional travel to other customer or partner locations (estimated 10%) may be required in the future\n\nWhat are the qualifications to apply? To be successful as a Senior Cyber Range Engineer, you need to have:\nStrong bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish skills required across written, virtual, and in-person interactions\n\nExpertise in advanced networking knowledge including:\nVirtual networking architecture and segmentation (VPCs, VNets, subnets, routing)\n\nNetwork security and access control (firewalls, security groups, NACLs)\n\nSecure connectivity solutions (VPN and direct connectivity solutions)\n\nNetwork engineering certification a plus\n\nPractical experience with cloud architecture and implementation solutions\n\nProficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, including Puppet and Ansible\n\nPractical experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtual machine deployment at scale\n\nPractical experience with monitoring and logging solutions\n\nExperience with of cloud cost management and resource optimization techniques\n\nExperience with enterprise IT architectures and common business applications\n\nKnowledge of security concepts and best practices for isolated environments\n\nExperience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines\n\nStrong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex infrastructure issues\n\nExemplary documentation and technical communication abilities\n\nStrong customer interaction skills\nWe’re proud to offer a competitive and comprehensive package designed to support your well-being, growth, and success:\n\nCompensation.
