These values are our foundation!\nThe Role\nOur Onboarding team owns how new customers sign up to Sinch and get verified (KYC). It is the very first experience every customer has with us, so it needs to be fast, simple, and secure.\nAs a Backend Software Engineer III, you will build and run the services behind these sign-up and verification flows. You will join a small Stockholm-based team alongside a Senior full-stack Tech Lead and a full-stack engineer, as we grow a permanent team that takes full ownership of the product. You will work closely with the Tech Lead, Product, and cross-functional teams. This is a hybrid role, working from our Stockholm office.\nWhat You Will Do\nBuild and maintain backend services and REST APIs in Node.js and TypeScript.\nDesign and work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).\nDevelop and deploy microservices on Kubernetes, using Docker and CI/CD pipelines.\nContribute to the distributed systems that power customer sign-up and verification.\nWrite clean, tested, maintainable code using sound design patterns.\nTake part in code reviews and pull requests, and help raise code quality across the team.\nOwn the features you build from design through to production.\nFollow a build-ship-run approach.\n\nWhat We Are Looking For\n3-4+ years of backend development experience.\nExperience with Node.js (TypeScript is a plus).\nExperience building REST APIs.\nGood knowledge of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar).\nHands-on experience with Kubernetes.\nExperience working with distributed systems and microservices.\nExperience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines.\nComfortable with Git, code reviews, and pull requests.\nGood understanding of clean code and basic design patterns.\nAbility to work independently on most tasks.\nClear communication in English, written and spoken.\nWillingness to work hybrid from our Stockholm office.\n\nNice to have\nWorking experience with Java (Spring or Spring Boot).\nEvent-driven development experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka.\nExperience with a cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).\n\nOUR HIRING PROCESS\nWe are committed to ensuring a recruitment process that is fair, objective, consistent, and inclusive.
