This role combines elements of a solutions architect, technical account manager, and solution engineer, with a strong emphasis on execution.\nAs an FDE, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and sounding board for customers, helping them design, implement, and scale real-time data solutions using SingleStore. You will work closely with customers to understand their business objectives, translate them into technical strategies, and drive those solutions into production. This role requires a delivery mindset, strong technical depth, and the ability to lead both strategic conversations and hands-on execution.\nRole and Responsibilities\nPartner directly with customers to understand their architecture, use cases, and business goals, and translate them into scalable technical solutions.\nDesign and implement end-to-end solutions integrating SingleStore into existing application and data ecosystems.\nLead whiteboard sessions to shape ideas, define architecture, and convert concepts into technical specifications and execution plans.\nAct as a proactive thought partner, bringing ideas and guiding conversations rather than reacting to requirements.\nOwn delivery of high-impact initiatives from concept through production, ensuring successful outcomes.\nProvide hands-on support, including troubleshooting, optimization, and applying pragmatic solutions or fixes when needed.\nCollaborate closely with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to align customer needs with product capabilities and roadmap.\nHelp customers prioritize and operationalize their data initiatives, balancing ambition with practical delivery.\nFeed insights from customer engagements back into Product and Engineering to influence roadmap and improvements.\nYour Experience\n10+ years of experience in solution architecture, solution engineering, or technical consulting (pre-sales and/or post-sales).\nStrong foundation in databases, distributed systems, or software engineering.\nProven experience delivering production-grade solutions in customer-facing environments.\nExperience integrating complex systems across data pipelines, applications, and infrastructure.\nAbility to translate ambiguous requirements into clear technical plans and drive execution.\nExperience working with enterprise customers, particularly in financial services or high-tech environments, is highly preferred.\nStrong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to guide both technical and non-technical stakeholders.\nDemonstrated ability to balance technical innovation with pragmatic delivery and realistic scoping.\nAlignment with product capabilities and roadmap, ensuring solutions are both impactful and feasible.\nThis is a customer-facing role, and we prefer candidates based in the NYC area or within a commutable distance.\nSingleStore delivers the cloud-native database with the speed and scale to power the world’s data-intensive applications.
