So, when you say hello to us, you are really empowered to say…“Hello BIG Possibilities”.\nWe are looking for an Associate Engineer to work in iLab, supporting testing and validation of broadband devices and services.\nThe role will mainly perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for broadband devices such as Residential Gateways (RG), ONT/ONR and Wi-Fi devices. The Associate Engineer will work closely with Engineering, Operations and vendors to ensure new devices and firmware meet the required test criteria before deployment to customers.\nThe role will also support daily lab operations, troubleshooting, test automation and maintenance of lab systems.\nMake an impact by:\nPerform UAT for broadband devices and new firmware according to test plans and acceptance criteria.\nTest broadband devices such as RG, ONT/ONR, Wi-Fi routers and mesh devices.\nPerform basic functional, regression, performance, stability and security testing.\nSupport GPON/XGS-PON broadband testing and new project implementation in the lab.\nPerform basic network testing using tools such as Wireshark, iPerf, ping and other network test tools.\nPerform Wi-Fi testing such as speed, connectivity, coverage, stability and roaming.\nMonitor firmware soak and stability tests and report any abnormal behaviour.\nReproduce reported faults in the lab and assist engineers and vendors with troubleshooting.\nCollect device logs, packet captures and test results for problem investigation.\nRecord test results and report defects or issues found during UAT.\nRetest firmware after fixes are provided by vendors or Engineering.\nSupport development and improvement of test cases and test procedures.\nSupport test automation and RPA activities to reduce repetitive manual testing.\nPerform basic scripting or automation using Python or other scripting tools, where required.\nMaintain lab equipment, test devices and test environments.\nPerform basic maintenance of lab servers, including OS updates, security patches and SSL certificate renewal.\nMaintain proper documentation of test results, firmware versions and lab configurations.\nWork closely with Engineering, Operations and vendors on testing and troubleshooting activities.\nPerform other technical or lab-related tasks assigned by the manager.\nSkills for Success:\nDiploma in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent from a recognised institution.\nNo experienced required.\nBasic understanding of networking and TCP/IP.\nBasic knowledge of IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VLAN and Wi-Fi.\nFamiliarity with Windows and Linux environments.\nBasic knowledge of network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, ping and iPerf would be an advantage.\nBasic knowledge of GPON, broadband routers, ONT/ONR or Wi-Fi devices would be an advantage.\nFamiliarity with VMware and Docker would be an advantage.\nBasic knowledge of Python or scripting would be an advantage.\nInterest in test automation, RPA and networking technologies.\nCCNA or ITIL 4 certification would be an advantage but is not
