The role combines deep technical expertise, customer engagement, solution design, mentoring, and technical leadership to ensure exceptional customer experiences and successful business outcomes.\nDue to the nature of our Federal Government customers, applicants must be Australian Citizens and hold a current NV1 AGSVA Security Clearance\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, implement, and support complex enterprise networking, security, wireless, storage, and IP telephony solutions for Optus customers.\nLead technical delivery activities throughout project lifecycles, including system analysis, solution design, implementation, testing, migration, and troubleshooting.\nPartner with customers, project managers, and delivery teams to ensure successful project execution, effective communication, and outstanding customer outcomes.\nSupport pre-sales activities by contributing to solution scoping, technical reviews, effort estimation, proposals, and customer engagement activities.\nProvide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level engineers, sharing knowledge, best practices, and engineering expertise.\nDrive continuous improvement through technical certifications, knowledge sharing, innovation, adherence to quality standards, and contribution to engineering best practices.\nWhat You'll Bring\n8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise networking, unified communications, security, wireless, and infrastructure solutions.\nProven experience as a technical lead delivering complex customer projects, including solution design, implementation, troubleshooting, and customer-facing consultancy.\nStrong expertise across Cisco networking technologies, including routing and switching, MPLS, QoS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPv4/IPv6, security, wireless, and collaboration platforms.\nIndustry certifications such as CCNP, CCIP, CCVP, CCIE, or equivalent, with a commitment to maintaining and expanding technical expertise.\nExceptional customer engagement, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence outcomes at all levels.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with experience diagnosing complex technical issues and delivering practical, customer-focused solutions.\nCommercial awareness and experience supporting pre-sales activities, solution scoping, technical proposals, and project profitability.\nA collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to mentor others, work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and deliver results in fast-paced customer environments.\nAdditional Requirements\nValid driver's licence and ability to travel to customer sites as required.\nFlexibility to participate in after-hours project implementations, customer support activities, and occasional interstate travel when business needs require.\nThe good stuff….\nCompetitive remuneration and employee discounts.
