In this hands-on role, you will perform mixing, casting, curing, machining, and assembly operations for high-performance solid rocket motors used in defensive tactical systems. You will work closely with engineers and quality teams in a high-paced, controlled environment while strictly adhering to safety, environmental, and quality standards (including OSHA, ATF, and DoD requirements). This position involves direct work with hazardous energetic materials, so a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and process discipline is critical.\nRoles and Responsibilities\nPrepares materials and performs propellant mixing and solid rocket motor component assembly for various production and development programs. \nConducts energetics research and development for new energetic formulations. \nTechnician is responsible for requisitioning and organizing the materials and processing required for mix and cleaning and maintaining mix equipment. \nTechnician will perform energetics duties under the general direction of engineers and the team supervisor using established, well-defined methods.\nTechnician may be responsible for milling chemical components for full-scale propellant mixes and weigh material bins to correct weight for propellant mixing.
