Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), this individual will own and manage the company's financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, internal management reporting, and operational analysis, while also supporting a broad range of business activities.\nAs a small, publicly traded company, we operate in an environment where priorities shift, team members wear multiple hats, and everyone contributes beyond their primary responsibilities. We're looking for someone who thrives in that environment-someone who takes ownership, exercises good judgment, learns quickly, and is equally comfortable managing a financial planning process or stepping in to help with an unexpected operational need.\nThe right candidate will bring strong financial skills, but just as importantly, a team-first mentality, adaptability, initiative, and a willingness to contribute wherever needed to help the business succeed.\nWhile this role carries meaningful responsibility, the individual will have the guidance and support of the CFO, Controller, and other members of management.\nThis position offers an opportunity for professional development and broad exposure to the business, with direct interaction with senior leadership and involvement in financial, operational, and strategic decisions.\nKey Responsibilities\nFinancial Planning & Analysis\nOwn and manage the company's annual budget and ongoing financial forecasts, partnering with department leaders to monitor performance, evaluate spending, and support future planning cycles.\nPrepare and analyze monthly financial results, including budget-to-actual comparisons, variance analysis, and management reporting.\nEvaluate profitability, gross margins, pricing, and manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead.\nDevelop and maintain financial models, dashboards, and operational reporting to support informed business decisions.\nPartner with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Commercial teams to assess investments, resource allocation, and operational performance.\nIdentify opportunities to improve financial visibility, reporting efficiency, and internal processes.\nSupport financial reporting and accounting activities as needed.\nBusiness & Operations Support\nSupport payroll processing, including regular payroll cycles, bonuses, and other payroll-related activities.\nAssist with benefits administration, employee records, and related compliance activities.\nParticipate in recruiting and hiring activities, including job postings, candidate screening, and interview coordination.\nCollaborate with team members across departments to address operational needs and improve business processes.\nProvide support for administrative and organizational activities as business needs evolve.\nSpecial Projects & Cross-Functional Support\nWork directly with senior management on financial, operational, and strategic initiatives.\nSupport the Controller and accounting team with special projects and process improvements.\nTake ownership of projects outside traditional FP&A responsibilities when needed.\nIdentify problems, recommend practical solutions, and help implement improvements.\nStep in where additional support is needed, whether the task is analytical, operational, administrative, or somewhere in between.\nQualifications\nRequired\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.\n2+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related analytical role, including hands-on experience preparing budgets and financial forecasts.\nStrong Excel skills, financial modeling capabilities, and experience preparing budgets and forecasts.\nAbility to analyze financial and operational information and communicate findings clearly.\nStrong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.\nDemonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion when handling highly confidential financial, operational, and employee information.\nPreferred\nExperience in manufacturing, medical devices, life sciences, or a publicly traded company.\nExperience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or a similar ERP system.\nFamiliarity with Power BI or comparable reporting and visualization tools.\nExperience supporting payroll, HR, or other business operations.\nCPA or MBA.\nWhat We're Really Looking For\nTechnical skills are important, but we're equally focused on finding someone with the right mindset and approach to work.\nOur ideal candidate:\nHas a team-first mentality.
