Your designs directly enable the semiconductor industry's push toward smaller process nodes and more advanced chip manufacturing capabilities.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nLead mechanical design and analysis for precision motion systems, vacuum chambers, and ultra-stable structural frameworks\nDrive design reviews, FMEA sessions, and tolerance stack-up analysis for nanometer-precision assemblies\nManage mechanical engineering teams in Pune, working together with teams in The Netherlands and Singapore\nDefine mechanical architecture for multi-million-dollar semiconductor capital equipment projects\nCoordinate with manufacturing teams on DFM guidelines and assembly process validation\nInterface with suppliers for critical mechanical components including linear motors, air bearings, and granite structures\nDeliver mechanical engineering deliverables according to V-model development processes\nRequirements\nREQUIREMENTS:\nMust-have\nMaster's degree in mechanical engineering with 15+ years in precision mechanical design, of which at least 8 years within the Semiconductor industry\nProven leadership experience managing mechanical engineering teams of 5+ engineers\nExpert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, NX, or CATIA V5/V6 for complex assembly design\nExperience with ultra-precision mechanical systems achieving sub-micron repeatability • Knowledge of cleanroom-compatible materials, and particle contamination control\nFinite element analysis expertise using ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar tools\nExperience with semiconductor equipment, analytical instruments, or precision manufacturing systems\nNice to have\nKnowledge of Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing methodologies\nUnderstanding of thermal management in precision equipment including temperature stability requirements\nExperience with motion control systems including linear motors, encoders, and feedback systems\nProject management certification (PMP, Agile, or equivalent)\nWHAT WE OFFER\nGlobal engineering exposure work embedded in international teams on machines used in the world's most advanced semiconductor fabs, analytical laboratories, and medical facilities.
