And under this roof, we protect what matters most.\nJob Summary\n The Senior Research Technician in Siplast R & D is responsible for assisting the Research Scientist in the testing and development of new and innovative products and related technologies. The Senior Research Technician is responsible for supporting current and future product developments, testing, and product code certifications. The individual is also responsible for assisting in test roof installations and analysis of field data. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\nEssential Duties\n(25%) Work under the direction of a Research Scientist\n(25%) Design and build prototypes for testing product attributes\n(25%) Conduct Laboratory tests and interpret results and present data in report format\n(10%) Analyze results and execute with minimal oversight\n(10%) Project planning and organization\n(5%) Maintain safe work practices and good housekeeping\n Qualifications Required\nH.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required\n0+ years of related experience\nQualifications Preferred\nExperienced with various prototyping techniques\nExperience with physical science, materials, physics, or chemistry is strongly preferred\nGeneral Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nGood verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills\nAbility to collaborate and work in a team environment\nInteracts with other R&D groups and willingness to participate in Laboratory Safety and Continuous Improvement Teams\nMaintains and audits thorough records in laboratory notebooks, analyzes test results, and issues project reports\nAbility to analyze experimental data and use statistical techniques\nDemonstrated experience with creative problem solving\nGood housekeeping skills\nSafety conscious and work in a safe manner\nAssist in all trial runs, field evaluations, and analysis of customer requirements.\nMaintains laboratory equipment in an operable and calibrated condition\nInteracts with vendors to procure equipment, chemicals, and materials for department work\nAbility to present meaningful results and unbiased conclusions orally and graphically to Management\nComposes clear written communications including memos and reports\nTechnical Knowledge, Skills and Abilities\nExperience with liquid formulation or understanding is beneficial \nAbility to conduct experiments as per test protocols\nGoogle Suites or Microsoft Office experience\nDimensions\nNumber of Indirect Reports: 0\nNumber of Direct Reports: 0\nMinimum Requirements\nPay Transparency\nBase salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
