We are seeking a Network Security Engineer to strengthen our global security posture by focusing on the design, implementation, and management of next-generation firewalls, load balancers, and other network security platforms. The successful candidate will lead efforts to enforce security policies, improve resiliency, and ensure compliance across broadcast, data center, and enterprise network environments, while also mentoring peers and driving innovation in security best practices.\nWhat You'll Do:\nDesign, implement, and manage enterprise firewalls, load balancers, and related network security platforms.\nDeploy, monitor, and optimize network security controls across enterprise, broadcast, and data center networks.\nTriage, diagnose, and resolve firewall, load balancing, and VPN-related incidents.\nEnsure compliance with InfoSec requirements and industry-standard security frameworks.\nDrive automation efforts to standardize firewall and security policy management (“security as code”).\nCollaborate with InfoSec, broadcast engineering, and enterprise infrastructure teams to enforce security policies and respond to new requirements.\nCreate and maintain documentation for security standards, policies, and operational procedures.\nProvide subject matter expertise on network security to cross-functional engineering teams.\nParticipate in on-call rotation for operational network and security support.\nWhat You'll Need:\nBachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.\n3+ years of experience working in enterprise network security environments.\nExcellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.\nStrong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.\nCommitment to delivering high-quality internal customer service.\nProficiency with documentation and productivity tools such as Google Workspace, LucidChart/Visio, and MS Office.\nHands-on expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, VPN technologies (GlobalProtect, AnyConnect, IPsec), and security policy enforcement.\nStrong experience with F5 load balancers (LTM/GTM/ASM/AFM) and traffic management policies.\nKnowledge of Cisco ASA firewalls and other major vendor platforms (Juniper, Arista, etc.).\nFamiliarity with zero-trust access control solutions (ClearPass, Cisco ISE).\nSolid understanding of network protocols (TCP/UDP, IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, VXLAN, EVPN, IP Multicast).\nExperience with automation frameworks (Python, Ansible, Terraform, Go) for network security operations.\nSkilled in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, Syslog; OpenNMS, SolarWinds, or Datadog a plus).\nAbility to take ownership of critical issues through resolution and support on-call rotations.\nOur goal at SiriusXM is to provide and maintain a work environment that fosters mutual respect, professionalism and cooperation.
