Talent based in the new technology hub will be charged with developing and implementing best-in-class standards for high- quality, scalable software deliveries for SiriusXM’s streaming and in-vehicle audio entertainment platforms.\nHow you’ll make an impact:\nAs a member of the software test team at SiriusXM, you will be joining a team of Software Development Engineers and Test Engineers responsible for developing the SiriusXM test automation framework, and testing of SiriusXM software and products related, but not limited to in-vehicle infotainment systems and aftermarket SiriusXM products\nThe Software Engineer III role will be responsible for developing test scripts, triaging and fixing issues, and designing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product, and program managers.\nWhat you’ll do:\nWork with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.\nDevelopment of automated test cases to test the middleware\nWork closely with development and test teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.\nDevelop, maintain, and execute test scripts, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project\nGenerate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management\nDevelop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.\nAnticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.\nWhat you’ll need:\nBS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.\nAt least 3-5 years of experience in modern C/C++\nTroubleshooting - Good skills in identifying and resolving technical and networking/communication issues throughout the entire technology stack\nExperience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks, preferably Google Test\nSolid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles\nSkilled in utilizing CMake for efficient build configuration and dependency management\nTroubleshooting - Exceptional ability to isolate & troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack by leveraging automated testing methodologies\nStrong communication skills, verbal and written\nAbility to work independently and in a team environment.\nCommitment to \"internal client\" and customer service principles.\nStrong organizational skills and attention to detail.\nHistory working with automation frameworks creating automated test scripts\nWhat is a plus:\nUnderstanding of dependency injection and Software Design Patterns\nExperience with proxy servers and related technologies, Charles (It is an HTTP proxy / HTTP monitor / Reverse Proxy that lets a developer view all of the HTTP and SSL / HTTPS traffic between their machine and the Internet.) and virtualization port tools like VSPE, COM2COM\nExperience in test automation Experience with unit testing frameworks (e.g., MSTest NUnit)\nExperience with Code Coverage tools and procedures is a plus\nExperience with Python scripts Ability to work seamlessly across both Linux and Windows development environments, and experience with cross-compilation and Android build tools\nExperience with embedded systems or device-specific testing frameworks for the structured, device-oriented automated test framework\nExperience with Git\nOur goal at SiriusXM is to provide and maintain a work environment that fosters mutual respect, professionalism and cooperation.
