Site works are under way, plant equipment manufactured in China is in sea transit, and first gas is targeted for April 2027, subject to readiness and approvals.\n\nThey are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: In-site Project Engineer\n\nLocation: Abuja\n\nJob type: Full-time\n\nAbout the Role\n\n They are building a lean, high-accountability execution team and are looking for an In situ Project Engineer to join them.\nProvide field engineering and technical coordination at the Ajaokuta site, ensuring site works and the installation of China-manufactured modular plant equipment are executed to approved design, vendor instructions, Nigerian requirements and quality standards.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nCoordinate system boundaries, test packs, mechanical completion walkdowns and turnover dossiers\nManage access to the latest approved-for-construction drawings, specifications, datasheets and vendor documents\nReview constructability, lifting, access, tie-ins, utilities, earthing and fire protection before work proceeds\nPrepare and review work packs, method statements and inspection and test plans; witness inspection points as assigned\nSupport receipt inspections, preservation and damage/shortage reporting for incoming packages\nRaise and track technical queries, RFIs, field change requests and red-line drawings; allow no undocumented field changes\nVerify foundations, anchor bolts, elevations and tolerances against vendor drawings ahead of equipment arrival\n\nRequirements\n\nExperience with equipment installation, inspection and test plans, and punch-listing\nCOREN registration (or eligibility) is preferred\nHands-on, safety-conscious and comfortable working on site\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical or Instrumentation Engineering\nAbility to read and interpret P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, datasheets and vendor documents\n5+ years of site or construction engineering experience in oil and gas, process or industrial projects\n\nWhat We Value\n\nExecution discipline, evidence-based reporting, clear communication and a willingness to raise concerns early.
