Site works are under way, plant equipment manufactured in China is in sea transit, and first gas is targeted for April 2027, subject to readiness and approvals.\n\nThey are recruiting to fill the position below:\n\nJob Title: QA / QC & HSE Manager\n\nLocation: Kogi\n\nThe Role\n\n They are building a lean, high-accountability execution team and are looking for a QA/QC & HSE Manager to join them.\n\n Provide independent assurance that construction and equipment installation at the Ajaokuta Mini-LNG project are safe, compliant and conform to approved design, contract and statutory requirements, through first gas.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n Develop and maintain the project quality plan, inspection and test plans, hold points and acceptance criteria\n\n Coordinate receipt inspections for equipment arriving from China and manage non-conformance reports through to closure\n\n Conduct risk-based site surveillance and witness designated hold and witness points\n\n Implement the project HSE plan, including inductions, permit-to-work, risk assessments, lifting safety and emergency response\n\n Maintain incident, near-miss and corrective-action registers and verify that actions are closed\n\n Coordinate with process-safety specialists and OEMs on hazard studies, safeguards and readiness for hazardous-fluid introduction\n\n Maintain environmental and social compliance records and promote stop-work authority across the site\n\nRequirements\n\n Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, HSE or a related discipline\n\n 7+ years of QA/QC and HSE experience on oil and gas, process or industrial construction projects\n\n Recognised HSE qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH; QA/QC inspector certification (e.g. CSWIP, ASNT, API) is an advantage\n\n Working knowledge of process safety, permit-to-work, hazardous-area and pressure-system requirements\n\n Familiarity with Nigerian HSE and environmental regulations\n\n The independence and courage to stop unsafe work\n\nWhat They Value\n\n Execution discipline, evidence-based reporting, clear communication and a willingness to raise concerns early.
