ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
Governments are increasingly adopting digital solutions to secure borders while enabling seamless travel, trade, and tourism. As a global leader in border management, SITA AT BORDERS supports this transformation through innovative and integrated solutions.
As a Borders Business Development Manager, you will help drive growth and innovation by building strong customer relationships, understanding their needs, and identifying new business opportunities.
Main changes: reduced repetition and created a smoother transition from the market context to SITA and then to the role.
WHAT TOU WILL DO
- Develop go-to-market strategies to drive profitable business growth.
- Generate new leads and opportunities across government accounts.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Strengthen relationships with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
- Stay current on border management trends, technologies, and market developments.
- Drive early customer engagement, workshops, and industry events.
- Support the development of complex solutions aligned with customer needs.
- Shape deal strategies, including pricing, positioning, and competitive tactics.
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast information in Salesforce.
- Share competitive intelligence and develop customer success stories with internal teams.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- 5+ years of proven success in sales, pre-sales or business development.
- 3+ years of experience in government, border management, security, defense, aviation, identity, biometrics, or related technology markets.
- 3+ years of experience selling technology solutions and services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience building relationships with senior government decision-makers.
- Experience navigating public tenders, RFPs, and government procurement processes.
- Proven ability to develop and execute business development plans.
- Strong ability to analyze, track, and consolidate market data.
NICE TO HAVE
- Strong knowledge of the border management ecosystem, including immigration, customs, passenger processing, identity, biometrics, and national security.
