Here, we feel empowered, supported, and inspired to grow.\nAre you ready to love your job?\nThe adventure begins right here, with you, at SITA.\nABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM\nWe are looking for a Lead Software Developer (UI Tech Lead) to join the AMS Modernisation Programme, helping transform a legacy platform into a modern, scalable and future-ready solution.\nYou will provide hands-on technical leadership for the design and delivery of modern customer-facing applications, with a strong focus on React, TypeScript and Micro-Frontend (MFE) architecture.\nWorking closely with Product, UX, Architecture and Engineering teams, you will help shape the UI architecture, establish engineering standards and guide the team in delivering secure, reliable and maintainable solutions.\nThe wider platform uses Java/Spring Boot microservices, cloud-native technologies and AI-enabled capabilities. You will also help the team adopt AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering productivity, quality and delivery speed.\nThis is a hands-on technical leadership role with strong ownership and influence over the technical direction of the AMS solution.\nQualifications\nWHAT YOU’LL DO\nLead the technical design and delivery of modern, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript.\nDefine and evolve the Micro-Frontend (MFE) architecture, reusable components and common UI patterns.\nSet and promote UI engineering standards, ensuring consistency, scalability and maintainability across the solution.\nProvide hands-on technical leadership, including solution design, coding, code reviews and technical problem-solving.\nWork closely with Product, UX, Architecture and Engineering teams to translate customer and business requirements into robust technical solutions.\nCollaborate with backend engineering teams working with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices.\nContribute to cloud-native solution design, including security, observability, performance and operational considerations.\nApply AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve developer productivity, software quality and delivery velocity.\nSupport the delivery and integration of AI-powered capabilities, including RAG and agentic AI where appropriate.\nDrive automated testing, code quality, secure development practices and CI/CD.\nTroubleshoot complex issues across the application stack and drive sustainable technical improvements.\nMentor developers and help the team adopt modern UI technologies and engineering practices.\nABOUT YOUR SKILLS\n7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including experience in a senior or technical leadership role.\nStrong hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.\nStrong experience designing modern front-end architecture and reusable component-based applications.\nExperience designing or working with Micro-Frontend (MFE) architectures.\nStrong understanding of modern UI engineering practices, including state management, testing, performance, accessibility and responsive design.\nExperience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and microservices.\nGood knowledge of Java and Spring Boot or experience working closely with Java/Spring engineering teams.\nExperience building and delivering cloud-native applications.\nExperience with automated testing, CI/CD and secure software engineering practices.\nExperience using AI-assisted development tools and techniques within the software development lifecycle.\nStrong technical leadership skills with the ability to guide engineering decisions, mentor developers and collaborate across disciplines.\nNICE TO HAVE\nGood knowledge of Java and Spring Boot or experience working closely with Java/Spring engineering teams.\nExperience with Microsoft Azure and Azure managed services.\nExperience with Kubernetes, containers, CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code.\nExperience with Azure DevOps tooling and delivery pipelines.\nExperience developing or integrating AI-powered customer features.\nKnowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), vector search and grounding.\nExposure to agentic AI and AI integration patterns.\nUnderstanding of AI security, evaluation, observability and responsible AI practices.\nExperience modernising large-scale or legacy enterprise applications.\nWHAT WE OFFER\nWe're all about diversity.
