This role requires expertise in overseeing mechanical construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining quality control throughout the project execution phase.\nLocation: Antwerp, Belgium\nReports to: Site Quality Control Manager\nRequired experience / qualification:\nBe in possession of international current certifications for the role in compliance with IIW; PCN or CSWIP.\nBe in possession of current qualification of II level NDT in compliance with ISO 9712\nBe fully conversant with EN standard and AMSE (B31.3) code requirements and have a solid and demonstrated background on welding engineering (e.g. multiple days courses by internationally recognized institutes)\nPrevious experience in application of EN1090 (structural steel) and Pressure Equipment Directive PED (for piping) would be preferable.\nImplement HSE procedures and standards in compliance with applicable laws, Health and Safety Documentation and Environmental Management Manual.\nBe diligent and draw attention to unsafe acts, unsafe behaviours and unsafe conditions.\nReview and comment subcontractor welding/NDT procedure & qualifications (i.e. welders lists, NDT operator lists, welding consumables management procedure, piping/structural steel certificates, material traceability procedure, Welding Summary List and Welding traceability Reports, etc)\nPerform witness, inspection & surveillance checks and assess continually Welding/ NDT subcontractor’s performance\nEnsure that all inspection activities are recorded in the appropriate records.\nEnsuring quality of the work for compliance with CQCP, approved ITP’s/ procedures and standards within assigned areas\nMonitor Subcontractors QC resource levels to achieve quality standards according to agreed ratio\nIssue status and trend reports as necessary and requested by Site Management providing suggestions on how to improve quality of welding/ NDT activities\nRecord deficiencies and/or incomplete works on punch items and liaise with Wood supervisor/ superintendent to expedite necessary rectification\nIdentify and document Subcontractor and Supplier quality deficiencies and initiate non-conformance process as required.\nVerify that materials used are in accordance with project technical documents and applicable codes and specifications.\nSupport QC/ turnover team for collecting
