This is a high-ownership role for someone who cares about what gets built and why, not just how.\nYou'll help define what our product does when an AI agent visits a page, build it end to end, and see it land with customers. You'll work across product features, CDN integrations, and AI traffic, turning ideas into shipped product quickly. You should be comfortable operating without a playbook and using modern AI tools to move faster.\nYour north star: The right content for every AI agent, served instantly, and\ncustomers who can see exactly what AI saw.\nWhat You'll Do\nBuild Product End to End - take features from idea to production, from customer problem to shipped solution with edge functions (Cloudflare Workers or similar) as one of your tools\n\nDeliver the Right Content to AI Agents - recognize AI traffic and serve AI-optimized versions of pages in real time.\n\nMake Onboarding Easy - build integrations with customer CDNs and hosting setups (Cloudflare, Akamai, Fastly, Vercel, or similar) that are simple to set up. Roll out safely and roll back instantly.\n\nSee the Web the Way AI Does - understand how pages render and what agents actually receive, and turn that into product.\n\nUnderstand AI Traffic - Learn how AI agents and crawlers access the web, including Web Bot Auth and verified bot signals.\n\nShow Customers What's Happening - Help customers see what AI agents requested and what we served, before they have to ask.\n\nMove Fast with AI - Use tools like Claude, Codex, Cursor, and others to accelerate development, debug faster, and explore better solutions.\n\nMake Pragmatic Calls - Help shape architecture that scales with our customers. Make pragmatic decisions, not over-engineered ones.\n\nWhat You'll Bring\nSenior-level product engineering experience: you've shipped customer-facing\n\nfeatures end to end and care whether people actually use them\nWorking knowledge of CDNs and HTTP (caching, headers, cache keys) and\n\nenough experience to integrate with a customer's setup without breaking it\nStrong product instincts: you can talk to customers, spot the real problem, and\n\ndecide what's worth building\nReal curiosity about how AI agents and crawlers access the web\n\nExperience working in fast-paced environments with high ownership\n\nSoftware Engineer, AI Agent Experience 2\nAbility to operate with ambiguity and make decisions without perfect\n\ninformation\nTechnical expectation:\nYou write production-quality code (we mostly use Python) and ship changes that\n\nare tested, versioned, and safe to roll out.\nBonus (not required):\nExperience with browser automation (Playwright, Puppeteer, or similar)\n\nProduction experience with edge functions (Cloudflare Workers, Fastl Compute, Vercel Edge, or similar)\n\nExperience with Web Bot Auth, HTTP message signatures, or bot management\n\ntools\nFrontend or full-stack experience\n\nExperience optimizing latency and cost per request\n\nScrunch is an equal opportunity employer.
