Supported by clear purpose, a strong platform and teams who care about what they’re building, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of an industry that never stands still.\nAbout the Engineering Manager role…\nReporting to the Engineering Director, you will drive technical execution in line with business objectives, while ensuring the development of your team and culture within your designated portfolio.\nAs an Engineering Manager, you will be experienced in people leadership, planning, delivery, stakeholder engagement, and influencing. Working closely with Product Managers, this role will partner with engineering and product leadership to shape the roadmap and enable robust planning and delivery, while also contributing to broader initiatives across the engineering organisation.\nWhat You’ll Do…\nWork closely with engineering and product leaders to set the roadmap, goals, priorities, and workflow for the company’s flagship portfolio.\n\nDrive the delivery of roadmap items and projects.\n\nBuild and lead technical teams to work effectively in a collaborative environment, establishing successful ways of working with both remote and distributed teams.\n\nDrive high-performing software engineering teams; develop and coach engineers through regular 1:1s, provide constructive feedback, manage performance (including underperformance), and lead effective performance reviews.\n\nRecruit and onboard new technical team members.\n\nInvest in team members’ professional growth by identifying development opportunities, offering coaching, and providing pathways for career progression.\n\nEnsure a consistent approach to engineering practices and delivery methodologies.\n\nContribute to wider engineering initiatives.\n\nEnsure high-quality software is delivered by your teams.\n\nEnable productivity by removing roadblocks, delegating effectively, escalating issues when required, and fostering a productive environment.\n\nWhat You Have…\nFoster strong engagement and collaboration, including building strong relationships, promoting team collaboration, recognising and rewarding achievements, and encouraging feedback.\n\nExperience leading and managing technical teams in a software/SaaS environment.\n\nDemonstrated experience leading technically complex projects.\n\nExperience hiring, evaluating the performance of, and developing the skills and careers of software engineers.\n\nExperience implementing reliable and efficient processes to accelerate software development and improve quality.\n\nExperience driving automation, efficiency, and the adoption of AI engineering tools.\n\nIn-depth understanding of Agile software development methodologies and tools (Jira and Confluence).\n\nWorking knowledge of project and change management principles and methodologies, including scope, timelines, and budgets.\n\nExperience working with geographically distributed teams and international experience would be highly advantageous.
