Sitetracker is looking for a Platform Upgrade Operations Engineer to help transform how we deliver platform upgrades.\nOur team owns the end-to-end Sitetracker upgrade process-from readiness and pre-upgrade checks through execution, troubleshooting, testing, and post-upgrade validation. The goal is not simply to execute upgrades successfully, but to continuously make the process more automated, predictable, and scalable.\nYou will combine strong Salesforce Administration and Configuration knowledge with Copado, Copado Robotic Testing (CRT), scripting, automation, and practical AI capabilities. You will identify manual steps and turn them into automated checks, tests, workflows, and intelligent agents.\nYou don't need to be a software developer. You do need strong Salesforce knowledge, the ability to read and understand Salesforce code, strong troubleshooting skills, and a mindset of asking: “How can we make this upgrade automatic?”\nWhat You'll Do\nAs a Platform Upgrade Operations Engineer, you will plan and run multi-week phased rollouts through sandbox, UAT, and Production for enterprise customers. Your success will be measured by rollout predictability, pre/post-upgrade validation rigor, and clean UAT hand-offs rather than net-new builds.\nYou will methodically plan the phased rollout precisely under a release calendar, validate configurations and permissions before and after, and spot regressions early. You are expected to communicate status crisply to customers and implementation partners (such as TechM), turning every upgrade into a reusable runbook.\nThe Skills You'll Have\nSalesforce Package Upgrade Execution\nPlan and execute managed-package upgrades across sandbox, UAT, and Production environments.\nManage sequenced rollout steps, strict dependencies, and the final production cutover.\nOwn multi-week, multi-phase enterprise upgrades, requiring tight coordination with implementation partners to drive on-time, regression-free deployments.\nEnvironment, Config & Permission Validation\nPerform rigorous pre/post-upgrade backup comparisons to protect customer trust and prevent Sev-1 incidents, such as permission-set discrepancies.\nValidate configurations, manage sandbox environments, and execute targeted smoke testing to confirm nothing has regressed during the upgrade.\nBuild and utilize repeatable data, metadata, and backup-comparison methods capable of resolving disputed post-upgrade incidents.\nUAT Coordination & Customer-Facing Upgrade Comms\nRun clean UAT hand-offs, create smoke-test guides, and facilitate go/no-go governance checkpoints.\nProduce controlled customer-facing upgrade materials, communicating schedule, risks, and status updates directly to enterprise customers and partners.\nLead advance-notice processes for production-impacting changes to ensure phased rollouts land smoothly.\nRelease Management & Salesforce Platform Aptitude\nDemonstrate strong fluency in release trains, versioning, and dependencies to shorten planning cycles and de-risk cutovers.\nApply a deep understanding of Salesforce platform mechanics that directly affect managed-package upgrades.\nUtilize release-train or DevOps tooling (such as Copado) alongside Salesforce certifications to streamline operations.\nWithin 90 Days, You'll\nUnderstand the Sitetracker upgrade lifecycle and Salesforce platform.\nBecome proficient with the upgrade playbook, Copado, CRT, and existing automation.\nExecute defined portions of standard upgrades.\nIdentify high-value opportunities for automation and AI.\nBegin using AI tools as part of your daily technical workflow\nWithin 180 Days, You'll\nIndependently execute standard and moderately complex upgrades.\nTroubleshoot Salesforce, Sitetracker, configuration, automation, and testing issues.\nBuild or enhance automated pre- and post-upgrade validation.\nImprove automated regression coverage using CRT or comparable tools.\nCreate reusable scripts and automation that reduce manual effort.\nImplement practical AI-assisted workflows or agents that improve upgrade operations.\nTurn recurring upgrade issues into automated checks, tests, or prevention mechanisms.\nWithin 365 Days, You'll\nBecome a trusted technical resource for complex Sitetracker upgrades.\nOwn significant areas of the upgrade automation roadmap.\nBuild and maintain scalable automated pre- and post-upgrade validation.\nExpand automated regression coverage.\nDevelop reusable automation and AI-assisted workflows that reduce manual intervention.\nIdentify opportunities to make more of the upgrade lifecycle fully automated.\nLead improvements that reduce upgrade duration, errors, and customer-impacting issues.\nHelp move Platform Upgrade Operations from a manual execution model to an automated and increasingly intelligent
