For more information, visit: www.sitime.com.\nJob Summary \nThe Equipment & Hardware Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, optimization, and continuous improvement of production and test equipment to ensure high levels of availability, performance, reliability, and safety. This role involves close collaboration with OSAT partners worldwide to support manufacturing operations effectively.\nThe engineer works cross-functionally with Production, Process, Quality, and Vendor teams to achieve manufacturing goals, drive equipment performance improvements, and minimize downtime. A key focus is on enhancing operational efficiency, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and implementing best practices in equipment management. \nResponsibilities: \nEquipment, Operation & Maintenance\nInstall, qualify, and commission new equipment according to specifications and safety standards\nPerform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) to ensure maximum tool uptime\nTroubleshoot equipment failures and production issues, including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software-related faults\nMaintain accurate equipment documentation, logs, PM checklists, and spare parts records \n Equipment Performance & Improvement\nMonitor equipment performance indicators (uptime, MTBF, MTTR, Utilization)\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, scrap, and maintenance costs\nIdentify recurring issues and implement permanent corrective actions (RCCA)\nSupport equipment capacity planning and utilization improvement\nProcess & Production Support\nSupport daily production and test operations to meet output, quality, and cycle-time targets\nWork with Process Engineers to optimize equipment settings and process stability\nAssist in root cause analysis for yield, quality, and reliability issues\nSupport engineering trials, new product introduction (NPI), and qualification runs\nVendor & Project Coordination\nLiaise with equipment vendors for installation, upgrades, repairs, and technical support\nManage spare parts availability and vendor service contracts\nSupport factory expansion, tool transfer, or relocation projects\nParticipate in equipment audits and acceptance testing \nQualifications & Requirements: \nBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or equivalent. \nExperience\nMinimum 10+ years of experience in equipment engineering, maintenance, or manufacturing engineering.\nProven experience in the semiconductor industry, particularly in final test operations and automation systems\n Desired Characteristics & Attributes:\nInspiring and guiding others.\nBeing committed and supportive.\nThe willingness to face challenges and take risks.\nA willingness to try new things and embrace new ideas.\nBeing truthful and sincere in words and actions.\nBeing able to adjust to new situations and changes.\nEffectively conveying information and ideas.\nBeing diligent, hardworking, and committed to achieve goals\nCompensation: \nAt SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards.
