If you are someone who can be yourself, advocate for others, stay nimble, dream big, own every outcome, and think global but act local - come join our team!\nEssential Job Functions:\nReview loan files for completeness and accuracy including but not limited to calculation and verification of income & assets, evaluation of credit reports, purchase contracts, appraisals, title commitments, VOE, tax returns, divorce decrees, and other loan pertinent compliance documentation.\nEvaluate debt & loan-to-value ratios, credit score, property valuation and various other factors.\nDetermine and document loan conditions, communicate requirements, and/or decisions.\nIdentify saleability issues, potential fraud and portfolio risks based on trends, red flags, and client’s business practices.\nMaintain knowledge of all applicable agency and non-agency underwriting guidelines.\nExhibit working knowledge of AUS to determine applicable loan conditions.\nSuch other activities as may be assigned by your manager.\nQualifications/ Requirements:\n5+ years of recent US Mortgage mortgage front-line underwriting experience.\nKnowledge and familiarity with current mortgage policies/procedures, compliance laws and regulations-including TRID-and understanding of mortgage regulatory changes.\nHigh producer with attention to quality\nStrong commitment to customer service and satisfaction\nExcellent time management skills\nAbility to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.\nDetail oriented, with superior verbal and written communication skills\nStrong PC skills, with demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office.\nMust be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service\nDemonstrate professional behaviour including:Positive attitude\nPunctuality\nDependability\nUnderstanding and adherence to company policies and procedures\n\nDemonstrated understanding of mortgage guidelines and policies for VA, FHA, FNMA, FHLMC & USDA\nAnalysis and Calculation of qualifying income from various tax documents such as 1040s, Schedule E, 1065, 1120, 1120S, K1, transcripts, etc.\nAnalysis of Credit Reports and Bank Statements\nExperience with both AUS and manual underwriting methods including DU and LP.\nWorking knowledge of running and reviewing third party loan-level Fraud Reports (Fraud Guard, Fraud Manager or DRIVE) would be preferred.\nExperience of working on Non-QM loans (Jumbo and Bank Statement Programs) in addition to AUS loans would be preferred\nWhen / if working remotely\nMaintenance of a safe and professional home office environment\nAppropriate equipment set-up including dual monitors, high speed internet and appropriate computer systems.\nThe employee may be required to report to a different local office as a normal, contemplated, and mandated incident of their employment.\nTo adhere to organization’s Information security policies and procedures such as Acceptable use policy.\nNote: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive.
