If you are a dedicated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about preserving the memory of loved ones, we want you to join our team.\n**This position is 100% on-site**\nJob Summary:\nAs a Groundskeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the grounds and headstones of the cemetery, and maintaining the overall appearance of the cemetery. This position requires dedication, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions. You will work closely with the Cemetery Manager or Supervisor, following their instructions to ensure the cemetery remains a respectful and well-kept environment.\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES\nMows grass, plows snow, waters lawns, fertilizes and trims shrubs, tends flower beds, and regularly inspects assigned work areas to ensure proper standards are maintained\nOperates lawn and grounds equipment, including push and power mowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, and other related power equipment\nRemoves debris and trash from grounds.\nMay include turning down vases and removing wilted flowers\nParticipates in teams for openings and closings for interments, entombment, and inurnments\nMay perform disinterment\nMay determine the location and layout of individual graves with assistance, complying with verification procedures\nMay perform minor repairs to the cemetery and/or building systems\nMust follow safety rules and ensure compliance with the operating procedures of corporate, federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA regulations and Safety and Environmental guidelines\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nMinimum 6 months of relevant experience\nAbility to operate hand-held tools and equipment, including, but not limited to, a shovel, pick, rake, sledgehammer, lawn mower, weed trimmer, and leaf blower\nAbility to accurately use measuring devices (i.e., tape measure, yardstick, etc.)\nAbility to work in extreme weather conditions\nPhysically agile and dexterous\nAbility to operate equipment in a safe and careful manner\nAbility to effectively work with others to accomplish tasks\nAbility to communicate effectively with associates, contractor personnel, and client families\nBasic computer skills to enable
