We welcome candidates across a range of experience levels, from early-career professionals to seasoned veterans. Our reverse engineers should be familiar with both traditional applications and operating systems, as well as embedded systems.\nSIXGEN is embracing AI to enhance the speed and efficiency of our work. You’ll have the opportunity to incorporate AI into your workflow, and experiment with new tools and strategies as the space evolves.\nThis position may allow hybrid work; however, this is dependent on the project, therefore candidates may be required to be in the office full time.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nReverse engineering compiled code with IDA Pro or Ghidra from a variety of computing platforms\n\nIdentifying vulnerabilities through reverse engineering\n\nDeveloping C/C++ code in the kernel and userland on Linux, Windows, and embedded operating systems\n\nDeveloping Python code for server applications and processing of binary data streams\n\nReverse engineering embedded system hardware including black box analysis, firmware extraction, and debugging using GDB, JTAG, and other equivalent tools\n\nImplementing automation for testing our tools, fuzzing, and using AI/ML for reverse engineering\n\nQUALIFICATIONS\nIntermediate: 3+ years of relevant experience.\n\nSenior: 6+ years of relevant experience.\n\nPrincipal: 10+ years of relevant experience.\n\nExperience reverse engineering compiled code using IDA Pro or Ghidra.\n\nProficiency in C, C++, and Python.\n\nExperience developing code for Linux, Windows, or embedded operating systems.\n\nExperience identifying vulnerabilities through reverse engineering.\n\nExperience with hardware and software reverse engineering.\n\nU.S. citizenship required.\n\nActive Top Secret clearance required.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience reverse engineering embedded systems.\n\nExperience with black-box analysis and firmware extraction.\n\nExperience debugging with GDB, JTAG, or equivalent tools.\n\nExperience with fuzzing and automated testing.\n\nExperience applying AI or machine learning to reverse-engineering workflows.\n\nBackground supporting IC, DoD, or DoJ customers.\n\nDESIRED TRAITS\nCuriosity and passion for solving complex technical challenges.\n\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nAdaptability as tools, technologies, and strategies evolve.\n\nTECHNOLOGIES\nC, C++, and Python\n\nGit\n\nIDA Pro and Ghidra\n\nGDB and JTAG\n\nLinux and Windows\n\nHardware/Software Reverse Engineering\n\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS\nAt SIXGEN, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
