The ideal candidate will tackle highly complex technical challenges, operate with significant autonomy, and provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members when needed.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nSoftware Development\nDesign, develop, modify, and implement software applications using agile development methodologies.\nWrite source code for new applications and enhance existing software solutions.\nUtilize both front-end and back-end technologies to develop complete software solutions.\nSupport the modernization, maintenance, and enhancement of existing systems.\nEngineering & Technical Problem Solving\nApply advanced software engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges.\nDevelop innovative approaches and solutions to meet mission requirements.\nContribute to software architecture, integration efforts, and application development activities.\nCollaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions.\nTeam Collaboration & Leadership\nWork closely with technical teams in a collaborative development environment.\nProvide guidance and mentorship to team members as needed.\nExercise sound judgment in technical decision-making and problem resolution.\nSupport both short-term and long-term development priorities.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science and 14+ years of software engineering experience; OR\n18+ years of software engineering experience in lieu of a degree.\nExperience with Java and JavaScript in a Linux environment.\nExperience writing source code for new applications and enhancing existing applications.\nExperience using front-end and back-end technologies to develop complete software solutions.\nExperience designing, modifying, developing, and implementing software applications using agile methodologies.\nExperience solving complex technical problems within collaborative, cross-functional teams.\nActive TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience with Java libraries including MongoDB, Spring, and OSGi.\nExperience with Perl, Python, Lua, and NGINX.\nExperience with Git, SQL, and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.\nExperience with web application development technologies such as AngularJS, Angular, React, Vue.js, Microsoft C#, or related technologies.\nExperience with API development, integration, client-side development, and server-side development.\nFamiliarity with AWS tools and cloud-based development environments.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, and team-oriented environment while balancing competing priorities.\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS\nAt SIXGEN, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
