The selected candidate will support projects focused on developing and implementing next-generation IT tools, systems, and capabilities while providing technical leadership throughout the engineering lifecycle.\nThis role requires end-to-end responsibility for applied research and cyber capability development efforts, ensuring successful execution from concept through implementation.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES\nSystems Engineering\nEvaluate, develop, and deliver technical input to the systems engineering process.\nDevelop technical documentation, system architecture, and system design documentation.\nGuide system development and implementation planning through system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.\nProvide engineering guidance throughout the project lifecycle.\nTechnical Leadership & Coordination\nCoordinate with administrators, engineers, developers, testers, government stakeholders, and mission partners.\nInteract with government representatives regarding technical considerations, issues, and conflicts.\nEstablish effective working relationships with government agencies and mission partners.\nDeliver briefings on complex topics to technical and executive audiences.\nResearch & Capability Development\nSupport applied research and cyber capability development projects.\nContribute as a senior technical resource on complex research efforts.\nEnsure solutions are implemented in a sound and secure manner.\nSupport mission-focused engineering activities from concept through deployment.\nQUALIFICATIONS\nBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related discipline (four years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree).\nActive CISSP, CASP+ CE, or CSSLP certification (minimum DoD 8570 IASAE Level II certification).\n15+ years of systems engineering experience.\nExperience developing technical documentation, system architectures, and system designs.\nExperience supporting system development, integration, and implementation activities.\nExperience communicating with technical teams, government stakeholders, and senior leadership.\nActive TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExposure to Cloud and AWS environments.\nKnowledge of the DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF).\nExperience designing and engineering systems from the ground up.\nExperience with network architecture and systems engineering.\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly assess and develop practical technical solutions.\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS\nAt SIXGEN, we are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Compensation for this role will be based on experience, qualifications, technical expertise, and overall alignment with the position.
