Our teams work on complex problems where reliability, security, and speed of innovation matter.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs an Agile Delivery Lead,you'll be responsible for enabling successful delivery outcomes for an agile team. The role combines servant delivery, stakeholder communications, planning, day-to-day management and agile ceremony facilitation. Agile Delivery Leads create the conditions for high-performing teams, provide delivery transparency and forecasting, manage risks and dependencies, and work closely with customers and technical teams to maximise the value of the delivery outcomes.\nThe highest level of security clearance is required for this role\nYour work may include:\nTeam Delivery & Leadership\nLead delivery planning activities and facilitate agile events that enable effective execution, transparency and continuous improvement. \nPossess technical literacy and ability to understand the detail of a solution, architecture and delivery approach to effectively facilitate team collaboration. \nWork closely with a multidisciplinary delivery team on a day-to-day basis to identify blockers, manage dependencies, improve flow and maintain delivery momentum. \nCoordinate and manage dependencies across team members, suppliers and customer organisations to maintain delivery progress and minimise delivery risk. \nFacilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, showcases and retrospectives, ensuring the team has clarity on priorities and delivery objectives. \nEffectively drive the removal of impediments to team progress. \nUse delivery metrics and team feedback to identify opportunities to improve predictability, quality, efficiency and delivery outcomes. \nSupport release planning and deployment activities, ensuring delivery commitments remain realistic and achievable. \nChampion agile and lean delivery practices, tailoring ways of working to achieve successful outcomes within the customer environment. \nLead through influence, coaching and servant leadership, creating empowered teams capable of delivering sustainable high performance. \nStakeholder & Customer Management\nAlign business, technical and customer stakeholders around priorities, risks, dependencies and delivery objectives. \nBe responsible for all stakeholder communications, meetings, scheduling, note-taking and action tracking. \nBuild effective relationships with customer representatives, suppliers and internal delivery stakeholders. \nSupport the Product Owner, Technical Lead and wider delivery leadership to ensure the roadmap, plans and priorities remain achievable and aligned. \nFoster positive spaces for collaboration, negotiation and, as required, mediation to help weigh up the most valuable outcomes against conflicting opinions in a safe team setting. \nDelivery Governance & Assurance\nMaintain delivery transparency through effective forecasting and metric-driven, evidence-based reporting. \nSupport and contribute to governance reviews, programme reporting and delivery assurance activities, providing accurate delivery data and insight. \nDrive delivery performance by proactively managing risks, dependencies, delivery flow, scope, quality and team capacity. \nSupport delivery leadership in managing resource demand, utilisation and financial performance whilst ensuring delivery teams remain effective and sustainable. \nBusiness Growth & Mobilisation\nWork with Business Development, Business Analyst and Requirements Leads to develop costed delivery plans for future contract scope increases and new business. \nOccasional visits to Herefordshire required\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe value people who take ownership, think critically, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team tackling complex challenges. You don’t need to tick every box, but we’re particularly interested in people with skills/experience in:\nEssential\nExperience leading the delivery of agile projects/products in a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager or Project Manager capacity. \nExperience facilitating a multidisciplinary delivery team. \nHigh technical literacy and experience in software development and/or IT infrastructure delivery. \nExperience configuring and using Agile Delivery Management tooling including Atlassian Jira, Gitlab, Confluence. \nExperience managing risks, dependencies, delivery reporting and stakeholder engagement. \nExperience delivering outcomes within complex, high assurance environments. \nDesirable:\nPrevious delivery to MoD and/or Government agencies. \nAgile Delivery qualifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Scrum Master / Agilist). \nExperience coaching teams in agile ways of working and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. \nExperience with AI and other cutting-edge technologies. \nJust as important are curiosity, strong problem solving ability, and the motivation to continuously improve how technology is designed and delivered.\nAbout SiXworks\nSiXworks is a specialist digital innovation partner delivering secure, mission-critical technology to Defence and National Security organisations.
