Our teams work on complex problems where reliability, security, and speed of innovation matter.\nWe’re looking for a DevSecOps Engineerwho enjoys solving difficult technical challenges and wants their work to have real operational impact.\nWhat You’ll Do\nAs a DevSecOps Engineer, you’ll help design, build, and deliver secure digital solutions in highly secure environments. You’ll work alongside engineers, architects, and delivery specialists to develop technology that enables faster, safer decision-making for critical operations.\nYour work may include:\nCollaborate with the Experimentation, Production and Development teams to design, develop, and maintain software solutions.\nTranslating regulatory and internal security standards into automated code, for deployments in environments such as Azure, VCF and Hyper-V\nDevelop responsive and interactive user interfaces (e.g. JavaScript/TypeScript and React).\nMake effective use of containerisation technologies (e.g. Kubernetes) to streamline deployment processes and ensure consistency across environments.\nImplement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and deployment.\nDevelop custom code to support Data-Centric Interoperability (a Zero Trust/Data-Centric Security paradigm) workload following Software Engineering principles and industry best practices.\nProvide automation / orchestration support across the Apps, Platform and Workload pillars\nComplete Dev activities as directed by pillar leads (Apps, Platform & Workload)\nParticipate in code reviews, providing and responding to constructive feedback from team members.\nStay updated with the latest technologies, tools and best practices in software development.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe value people who take ownership, think critically, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team tackling complex challenges. You don’t need to tick every box, but we’re particularly interested in people with skills/experience in:\nExtensive experience working on Azure / Hyper-V / VCF workloads\nProficiency in Git for version control and collaborative development.\nSolid understanding of software development principles, algorithms and data structures.\nExperience with Kubernetes for containerisation and deployment.\nKnowledge of DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.\nStrong communication and collaboration abilities within a team environment, including written and verbal communication and remote collaboration.\nAbility to compare different languages and technologies to contribute to selection discussions.\nAbility to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment and learn new technologies quickly.\nFamiliarity with secure engineering and development practices.\nExperience with public and private cloud platforms such as Azure / VCF.\nExperience with container orchestration tools like Docker.\nFamiliarity with Agile development methodologies and DevSecOps.\nUnderstanding of web security principles and best practices.\nJust as important are curiosity, strong problem solving ability, and the motivation to continuously improve how technology is designed and delivered.\nAbout SiXworks\nSiXworks is a specialist digital innovation partner delivering secure, mission-critical technology to Defence and National Security organisations.
