You’ll work alongside engineers, architects, and delivery specialists to develop technology that enables faster, safer decision-making for critical operations.\nYour work may include:\nLeading shifts throughout 24/7 SOC Service Delivery\nProviding oversight and management to Junior Analysts\nMonitoring of Systems for Security Alerts, Intrusions or activity considered to be unauthorised, unexpected or illegal\nResponding to incidents, utilising a catalogue of playbooks\nEscalation of complex incidents to Tier 2 Incident Response Teams\nReview and develop existing security controls in line with a constantly growing technical environment\nTriage and Review Vulnerability Scanning Reports, feeding results back into technical teams\nReview Secure Configurations, feeding back into technical teams for remediations of issues\nGenerate recurring service and security reports for key stakeholders\nFeedback service improvement ideas to the SOC Manager\nKeep up-to-date with the latest security threats and trends\nResearch and develop understanding of security as a discipline \nWhat We’re Looking For\nWe value people who take ownership, think critically, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team tackling complex challenges. You don’t need to tick every box, but we’re particularly interested in people with skills/experience in:\nPrevious experience in Security, SOC or related technical field with desired, specific focus on \nIncident Management \nVulnerability Management \nRelevant qualification(s) in Cyber Security, or other related technical roles \nKey Concepts of Cloud Computing \nSecurity Incident Management \nRisk Management \nInformation Security (CIA) \nPhishing, Ransomware and other key threats \nIDAM (Identity and Access Mgmt) \nJML (Joiners, Movers and Leavers Processes) \nSecurity Awareness \nInformation Classification \nJust as important are curiosity, strong problem solving ability, and the motivation to continuously improve how technology is designed and delivered.\nAbout SiXworks\nSiXworks is a specialist digital innovation partner delivering secure, mission-critical technology to Defence and National Security organisations.
