The candidate will be responsible for delivering HVAC design solutions for overseas and local projects, ensuring compliance with applicable design standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. The role involves coordination with multidisciplinary teams, preparation of engineering deliverables, and supporting projects from design development through completion.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop HVAC designs for commercial, residential, institutional, and other building projects.\nPrepare HVAC design calculations, cooling and heating load calculations, and equipment selection.\nDevelop HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, piping layouts, and system schematics.\nPrepare design drawings, specifications, schedules, and other project deliverables.\nDesign HVAC systems including air-conditioning, ventilation, chilled water, and other relevant mechanical services.\nCoordinate HVAC designs with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.\nReview design inputs, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.\nSupport the preparation and review of technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.\nConduct design reviews and ensure compliance with project quality standards and deadlines.\nCoordinate with project managers, design leads, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues.\nSupport BIM/CAD modelling and interdisciplinary clash coordination, where applicable.\nProvide technical support during project execution and address design-related queries.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.\n5-10 years of relevant experience in HVAC design and building services engineering.\nExperience working on local and/or international building projects.\nStrong understanding of HVAC systems, design calculations, and engineering principles.\nKnowledge of relevant international and local codes and standards.\nExperience in preparing HVAC drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.\nProficiency in relevant design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, or equivalent tools, as applicable.\nGood coordination, communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.\nPreferred Skills\nExperience in multidisciplinary design consultancy or an engineering design organisation.\nExposure to international projects and global design standards.\nKnowledge of BIM workflows and coordination processes.\nAbility to manage multiple project deliverables within agreed timelines.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to technical quality.\nKey Competencies\nHVAC Design & Engineering\nHeating and Cooling Load Calculations\nHVAC System Selection\nDucting and Piping Design\nBuilding Services Coordination\nTechnical Documentation\nBIM/CAD Coordination\nQuality Assurance and Design Review\nStakeholder Management\nWhy Join Us?\nThis role provides an opportunity to work on diverse overseas and local projects within the Urban Development & Housing sector, collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, and contribute to high-quality HVAC design and project delivery through a Global Design Centre environment.\nAt Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
