The role will be responsible for quantity take-offs, cost estimation, tender evaluation, subcontractor management, measurement, variation assessment, interim valuations, and final accounts.\nThe ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of MEP systems, construction contracts, cost control, and commercial management.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for MEP works, including:\nHVAC and ventilation systems\nElectrical systems\nPlumbing and drainage\nFire fighting and fire alarm systems\nELV systems\nBMS and other specialist MEP systems\nReview drawings, specifications, scope of work, and contract documents.\nPrepare cost estimates and budgets for MEP packages.\nReview and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.\nPrepare tender comparisons and commercial evaluations.\nMeasure completed MEP works and prepare interim payment applications/certificates.\nReview subcontractor bills, invoices, and supporting documents.\nMonitor project costs against approved budgets and identify cost deviations.\nEvaluate variations, change orders, claims, and additional works.\nPrepare variation quotations and maintain variation logs.\nAssist in contract administration and commercial negotiations.\nPrepare monthly cost reports and cash-flow forecasts.\nMaintain accurate records of measurements, quantities, costs, and commitments.\nCoordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, procurement teams, and subcontractors.\nAssist with preparation and settlement of subcontractor and supplier final accounts.\nIdentify potential commercial risks and recommend cost-saving measures.\nEnsure commercial activities are carried out in accordance with contract requirements and company procedures.\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.\nProfessional certification in Quantity Surveying or Contracts Management is an advantage.\n3-8 years of relevant experience in MEP quantity surveying/commercial management.\nExperience in building construction, infrastructure, or MEP contracting is preferred.\nAt Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
