The role will be responsible for quantity surveying, cost control, measurement, valuations, and commercial management while ensuring project deliverables are completed within agreed timelines and budgets.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and review BOQs, quantity take-offs, estimates and cost plans for project works.\nUndertake measurement and valuation of civil, building and infrastructure works.\nReview contractor bills, interim payment applications and supporting documentation.\nMonitor project costs, commitments, variations and forecast final costs.\nAssist in preparation and evaluation of tenders, bids and commercial proposals.\nReview contractor quotations and support commercial negotiations.\nIdentify, evaluate and manage variations, claims and change orders.\nMaintain cost reports, commercial trackers and project cost documentation.\nCoordinate with project managers, design consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.\nEnsure quantities, rates and commercial information are accurately maintained.\nSupport preparation of monthly commercial / cost management reports.\nAssist in contract administration and resolution of commercial issues.\nEnsure compliance with project procedures, contractual requirements and quality standards.\nProvide timely commercial inputs to support project decision-making.\nRequired Skills & Experience\n5-8 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management.\nDegree / Diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.\nStrong experience in BOQ preparation, quantity measurement, rate analysis, cost estimation and valuation.\nExperience working on building, infrastructure, urban development or EPC projects.\nGood understanding of contracts, variations, claims and commercial management.\nProficiency in MS Excel and relevant quantity surveying / cost management tools.\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contract documents.\nStrong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.\nGood communication and stakeholder-management skills.\nAbility to work independently in a site/project environment.\nPreferred Experience\nExperience with major EPC / infrastructure / consultancy organisations.\nExposure to international projects, standards or contracts such as FIDIC will be advantageous.\nExperience in project cost reporting and commercial controls.\nWillingness to travel or work from project sites as required.\nKey Competencies\nQuantity Surveying & Measurement\nCost Planning & Cost Control\nBOQ & Quantity Take-off\nEstimation & Rate Analysis\nTender & Procurement Support\nVariations & Claims Management\nContract Administration\nCommercial Reporting\nStakeholder Management\nMS Excel & Cost Management Tools\nAt Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
