The role is responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information, ensuring data integrity, and assisting in the preparation of reports that support business performance monitoring, compliance, and decision-making.\nThe position also provides support in financial analysis, data management, and process coordination, while contributing to the continuous improvement of reporting processes and related initiatives.\nThe Senior Associate Accountant may also be assigned other duties and responsibilities as required.\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the preparation and analysis of financial results, management reports, compliance reports, and operational dashboards to ensure timely, accurate, and relevant reporting.\n\nCoordinate with Finance, FP&A, Operations, and other stakeholders to collect, validate, and analyze data, ensuring completeness and consistency for consolidated and recurring reports.\n\nSupport the month-end, quarterly, and annual close processes, including report preparation and review, ensuring timelines and reporting requirements are met.\n\nMaintain complete and well-organized supporting documentation to ensure audit readiness and assist in the preparation and submission of audit requirements and related data requests.\n\nContribute to process documentation and support continuous improvements to enhance reporting accuracy, efficiency, streamlining and standardization.\n\nProvide support for ad hoc analysis, reports, and finance-related initiatives, and escalate issues or discrepancies in a timely manner for resolution.\n\nKey Performance Indicators\nDeliver timely and accurate operational, management, statutory, and compliance reports.\n\nMaintain regular communication with supervisors and team members on the status of assigned tasks and deliverables.\n\nResolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues independently, applying sound judgment based on business knowledge and company policies.\n\nEstablish collaborative relationships with internal clients to understand the business and continuously identify ways to be of service.\n\nEnsure high-level of confidentiality is maintained at all times.\n\nHigh level of participation and engagement in company activities would be encouraged.\n\nAssist other team members during peak times.\n\n Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience\nMust possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.\n\nWith 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience in Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Financial Reporting, General Accounting or equivalent.\n\nAbility to prioritise tasks to manage competing deadlines.\n\nProficiency in MS Office applications and accounting fundamentals.\n\nAdvanced proficiency in MS Excel\n\nExperience in a BPO or Shared Service setting is an advantage.\n\nExposure to sustainability or climate reporting framework is a plus\n\nExperience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software or any financial reporting software is required, Power BI, SAP/S4 Hana is a plus\n\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders and deliver clear, concise, and professional verbal and written communication\n\nHigh level of attention to detail with strong data accuracy and validation skills\n\nExcellent interpersonal and relationship management skills within a multi-cultural business environment.\n\nAble to collaborate with team members, internal clients and management.\n\nAbility to cope with ambiguity and change and maintain high level of professionalism when working under pressure.\n\nAt Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
