The role requires strong proficiency in Indian standards (IS Codes) including seismic design, along with working knowledge of international codes such as Eurocodes and American (ACI/ASCE/AISC) standards.\nExperience in global design centers in India handling international projects will be highly preferred.\nKey Responsibilities\nPerform structural analysis and design of RCC and steel structures for building projects.\nDevelop design solutions compliant with Indian codes (IS codes) and project specifications.\nCarry out seismic analysis & design as per IS 1893, IS 13920, and relevant standards.\nPrepare design calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications.\nReview and check structural designs prepared by junior engineers and external consultants.\nCoordinate with architects, MEP engineers, geotechnical teams, and project stakeholders.\nEnsure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.\nWork on international projects using Eurocodes or American standards (ACI, ASCE, AISC).\nParticipate in design reviews, technical discussions, and client meetings.\nMentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to best engineering practices.\nSupport proposal, bid preparation, and technical documentation where required.\nProficiency in structural engineering software such as:\nETABS / STAAD / SAFE / SAP2000\nPreferred Experience\nExperience working in global design centers (GDCs) in India\nExposure to international projects (Middle East, Europe, USA, etc.)\nClient interaction and design management experience\nAt Surbana Jurong, we put talent, hard work, teamwork and a fun workplace together to approach problems and solve them creatively and collaboratively.
